I like darts with a scallop as well.

Nice mix of scallop dimensions there. I prefer a tapered or torpedo dart generally. I think sometimes the scallop gets me to pronate.

The snipers look good. I do like a deep scallop. I’d like a little bit of grip on the scallop though.

I’ve ordered a set of customs that should be with me February / March, which are basically the same as the ones I bought from eBay but heavier. Those are 22g and I prefer 26g.

Spent some of my holiday break learning blender (fusion is next) and designing a case for two sets of darts with molded flights plus extra flights and stems. The bottom half of the third revision is printing now but I'm waiting on the press-fit magnets.

World championship was great this year until the semis and finals. Not too much drama there despite the stellar performance from the winner.

That looks great. Be interesting to see it when it’s done. I know that you’re intending to use it for integrated shafts and flights but it would be great if you had somewhere store traditional shafts and flights.
I’ve been using these and they are pretty decent for a fiver. I like it because it keeps the flights at 90 degrees. I’ve gone back to traditional shafts and stems and the big disadvantage of this case is that you have to bring a second old style case for your extras.

It has space for 4 traditional shafts and 6-8 flights. The integrated flight spots can also hold 6 shaft/flight combos.

The design is 90% done and the current revision is fully functional. The smaller magnets arrived after i printed it and were on the high side of height tolerance so there's a little gap between the halves. Other than that, it's mostly texturing the surfaces and doing some weight/material savings optimizations.

Got some custom darts made. I couldn’t find what I was looking for anywhere so decided to design my own. I’m absolutely delighted with them. They’re a really simple design with the grip in the exact place where I hold my darts. It means that I don’t have to mess around looking at where to grip.

I went back to the more traditional flights and stems instead of the integrated ones because I was seeing some wild deflections.

Here’s a few 100 plus finishes from yesterday.

I have been spending some time printing a smaller case design (and using TPU as the base material) and working on tooling to dye flights. The results have been mixed. I have worked out a geometry that retains the darts in the case without rattling, but it's a little too large to work on my smaller case design so I think I am going to go forward and post a few of the current design to my etsy shop next week.

The flight dyeing is going well but I am still trying to find a couple more good base colors to work with that will take on the flights. I am leaving a few flights in over the weekend to see if time will help.

Small case (holds 3 molded flights plus up to 10 barrels or stems. I ended up revising this about seven times to get it to its current state.
