Ok I just learned about Acey Deucey but I'm slightly confused about the betting. The way I understand it is that say the pot is $6.00 and you bet $1.00. If you win you get the $6.00, but if you lose you lose $1.00. What's stopping you from betting whatever the minimum bet is every time? If you had bet $0.25 into the $6.00 pot wouldn't you have still won the whole $6.00 or am I missing something? The only way the betting would seem to make sense to me is if you can only get paid out 1:1, so if you bet $1.00 into $6.00 you can only win $1.00 and not the whole $6.00.

You can only win/lose what you bet ( unless you play posts which makes a bad game worse ). So in your instance, if the pot is currently $6, your betting range is minbet - $6. If you bet $1 then you only win $1. If you want to win pot ( $6 in this case ) you have to bet $6.

This is how the pot grows. If you went pot and lost, the pot would raise to $12 and the next player would be able to bet min - $12.

That's how we play it, it's 1:1, but we also do it so you "hit the post" (e.g. have to get between 3 and 10 and you hit a 3) then you pay doublt what you risked into the pot.

We also pay half-pot max bet on the first orbit, so no one who gets lucky with Ace to Ace can end the game right away.

Careful with Acey Deucey, ended a limit night by playing it once. 5 people lost their whole stacks trying to get the pot and I ended up with it all. No one wanted to play after that
