So ugly.

The only thing really hideous is the price. :sneaky:

And that's all relative. Good lord, look at after-market Horseshoes. $4/chip for the Wynn looks like child's play, compared to the inflated prices on those fake inlay chips. I can't believe they didn't even take more care in color matching the fake inlay to the base color of the chip for those Horseshoes...they're awful on some chips. Not to mention the rare-factor...since there are a few known sets of the Wynns, and SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND of the Horseshoes. And don't get me started on the price of home market chips. Again, Wynn at $4ish compared to Paulson Classics at $2.50? Yeah, all day long.

Are there other chips that I'd rather have which have been selling at less than the Wynns? Yeah. So maybe they aren't the BEST value out there. But they sure ain't the worst!

Just this... Wish I had found them first :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

Love the colors, classy look and simplicity of design. Would never pay that much for chips, but they are a set for deep admiration

Man, aren't these chips just the UGLIEST things you've ever seen!!! I mean, seriously! Why would ANYONE ever want these!!!??? :ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

The Wynn chips have grown on me.... but for the love of god, please dial back the brightness and saturation sliders.

That photo reminds me of a ski jacket I had in 1986 (that I actually loved). #bringneonback

:eek::eek::eek:

I gotta admit, the're not bad for fantasy chips. Myself, I prefer real casino chips, on a real casino mold.

And the ACF set would stomp these into oblivion in a 'best tournament set ever' poll....if only the Wynn charity chips actually qualified as real tournament chips.....

Believe it or not, that photo is not edited. It was taken inside my photo tent with my cell phone camera. That's just how these chips look in person.

You like house molds? Or are you referring to THC molds?

I agree, ACF would probably win in a poll. But it wouldn't get my vote.

I agree that the ACF chips would blow the Wynn "non-casino" chips away. Plain mold and too plain of an inlay ruin it for me. There are several sets I would buy for less money than these went for when they were the Craze.

Also the "nearly unattainable" qualify them as a "Grail Set"

You can repeat it every month but you'll never sell me on the boring inlay or the weird mold.
The colors are great; definitely some of the best. Except the 5K; it's a little meh.

or #NOTCasinoset!!!

:ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

I will forever fail to understand why the semantics of whether or not these chips qualify as a "casino" set matters to people. The Wynn bought them for a charity event. They're made by Paulson. They look epic. They're minty. They're the perfect tourney breakdown. What else matters?

with my cell phone camera.

You need not say anymore.

Cell phones process the heck out of their JPG output images in their never ending quest to have the "sexiest" images in launch-date reviews. Blasting saturation and contrast into the stratosphere is, sadly, the going standard to get those "wow" reviews. Samsung gotta beat Apple gotta beat Google gotta beat HTC gotta beat... ya, you get it.

So, unfortunately, that's really not how they look in person.

I hate pulling the professional photographer card - but I'm a nit about sensor tech, and RAW vs. processed files. So my apologizes for jumping on my high horse here. :(

The 5k is my favorite, hands down. :)

ACF chips are cool, but only the nearly unobtainable super high denoms. The chips people actually have in quantity are just ok to me. The Wynn's blow them out of the water though IMO. :)

I like the Wynns, but I wouldn't say the 25 and 100 are jaw droppers

Beyonce Knowles and Heidi Klum played with these. If that's not enough history for you, then I don't know what is :)
Beyonce and Heide using them is Not History! The chips do have some nice colors but the plain mold and inlay ruin it for me.... and did anyone ever state that they were not used in a real casino?:ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

No need to defend your chips if you like them. Different strokes for different folks!
