Absolutely unreal golf holiday in the Costa Del Sol, fair play. Highlight of the trip was La Hacienda's Links course; simply put, up there with Turnberry as the best course I've ever played.

From the second you walk in to the minute you (reluctantly) drive out, this place is absolute perfection.

Surely the greatest halfway house in Europe, too...

Managed what could have been one of my best rounds ever: +3 after 9 holes (which included a double on the first); 5 birdies for the round; +1 after 12, but went double, double, triple from 13 through 15. Also three-putted the last to miss out on my second-ever 79; still, an 80 was playing to handicap.

Didn't manage to get it on camera, but had my third-ever eagle on one of the other courses, thanks to a 100-yard, third-shot holeout on a par 5. Some other highlights below — enjoy!

I’ve never played it. Looks amazing.

Finally did it.

Anyone got any experience with / currently game Maltby irons? I'm thinking of going down the custom-built rabbit hole to fill the hole in my life now I'm not building customer poker chip sets...

Some of you may have participated in the "Chip Shots" golf pool this past season here on PCF. If so, you are probably getting emails from the company that hosts those pools called Major Tradition. Apparently they also sell golf attire, and a couple of their shirts recently got my attention. So I ordered them.

This one is called the Augusta. Each of those shapes on the shirt represent a green at Augusta National. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. Anyway, the shirts look to be very nice quality, and sell for under $50 each. Check your emails for a current promotion. I got two shirts for $83 including tax and shipping.

Decisions, decisions...

Any idea what these might be worth? Seems like they were made for players-only during last year's Evian, so pretty rare.

Suppose I better post in this thread so I get updates/notifications.

I'm a golf guy now. I'm half way through a set of lessons at my local course (very new to it all, never swung a golf stick before having lessons).

After plenty of researching on what was best to buy (brand new set, fitted set, buying pieces, searching Facebook market place) - I found a great deal on these, picked them up last night. Now to get all the accessories on order!

Im honesty not sure which bug is worse, golf or chipping. I think it’s fair to say that chipping is definitely the more expensive hobby.

I've purchased 10 dozen golf balls in the last 2 months. I haven't swung a club since the meetup in September.
(Vice had a deal if you buy 6 dozen, so I did, which I'll take 2 or so down in FL in Feb. I'm also stupid, but got 4 dozen callaway balls because they're Good Good balls and 1 dozen is signed by the guys).

I just wish I had more time to practice

Golf is more expensive for me by many multiples. Between gear, green fees, range sessions, etc. it all hits the wallet pretty hard.

Really?!?! One Paulson chipset for me could cover a years membership at my golf club. Lol

To be fair I’m relatively new to chipping and have been golfing for a very long time so looking at it collectively over the years. Also not buying tigers or grail sets haha

And have pretty much used money from poker winnings to buy chips so look at it like “free” money :)

I think the floor might be a little lower for golf, (used clubs, play inexpensive municipal tracks) but the ceiling is way higher! Some private clubs are $50K and up initiation, $1-2K a month or more monthly dues. Easy to spend $5K on new custom clubs, and some guys will only play them for a year or less, then replace. Then consider the travel costs if you want to play various courses around the country, or even the world. Also there's shoes, clothes, gloves, balls and other consumable items to constantly be buying.

There is a new set of AI smoke irons, 2 mizuno wedges and a custom scotty just off the bulkhead at Prestwick, Myrtle Beach. Help yourself.. they are not very deep.

Just couldn't get on with the TS4, as much as I really wanted to. Might have been the Accra shaft, as it was just giving zero feedback — but also think that MBs just aren't for me.

Stuck with the Nippon Modus I'm used to (albeit the 130 version, not 120) when getting the TE+ built... and it's fair to say I'm in love! Unreal feel and trajectory, with the slight extra weight really helping with tempo. Pulled the trigger on the rest of the heads and shafts this afternoon, all to be be paired with the IOmic Sticky 2.3 Midsize, and these BB&F Co ferrules:
