Harvesting Chips for Forum Members Discussion (2 Viewers)

Its too bad the 1 isn't a blue base color. I like the spot. I'd still pay $150 a rack for 2 racks of mint 1s. Go get 'em.

I'll take orders come Feb-March when I am going out unless someone beats me out there.

Wow I didn't realize hotstamped yellow fracs were this close to me! I am loving all these chips!
It's about 2 hours away from me but it might be worth the trip.

If I could get enough fractionals I'd build a .50/1 cash game set. Might be a road trip in my near future!

Good luck sir, i hope you score a rack or two of fracs but thats a tall order:sick:
I love the ones. Id love 200 mint $1s for FREE please(y)

Lol yeah I'm not sure how easy it will be to harvest chips at that casino. Appears to be really small (7 blackjack tables and no poker tables). I'd love 200 mint 1's for free too ;)

I'm happy to report it is possible to harvest chips from St Croix Casino... Unfortunately it took about 180 dollars before I got the system down... Next time I'm there I should be able to harvest the chips with much less collateral damage to my wallet. The 1's, 5's, and 25's were no problem to harvest but those .50's were what cost me so much.

It wasn't until I was just about out of money that I finally got a working system of playing blackjack, asking for 5 dollars in .50's along with my 5's and 1's (they only have about 15 dollars in .50's at each of the tables). Playing a hand or two and betting 5.50 and meanwhile pocketing about 3 to 4 dollars worth of them. Then playing for a little while and hopefully not bleeding out too much before switching to a different table and getting more .50's the same way.

All the chips are in incredible condition given that they are currently in use at a casino. They really aren't even that dirty. The 1's and .50's got a light wipe along the edge and otherwise look like they do in these pictures. The 5's are the dirtiest and show the most wear. Even the 5's I can probably cherry pick ones that still have cross hatching and no nicks. The .50's, 1's, 25's, and 100's all are in terrific shape. Those 25's look so sick! I almost had a rack of near mint 1's in my pockets but after dropping so much getting the .50's I decided to cash those in and pick those up a different time.

Fill my order and let's trade for Terribles Cheese! Two racks .50s, two racks 1s :)

I'll do my best! I should almost just spend a weekend there, save me hours and hours of driving making multiple trips.

I'd love a $.50 and a $1 chip for my collection, I'm not asking for racks or anything. Just one of each... If you have any left after filling orders. :)

I love the artwork, but sounds painful to get those fracs.

Costing almost $8/chip in losses this outing I can't say they were cheap but hopefully the rest of the harvesting trips for the fracs will be less costly. The 1's on up should be no issue getting at face value.

Costing almost $8/chip

How realistic would it be to get a birdcage full of these in time for MTTD? :)

Hmmm, my maff skillz are fuzzy, but that seems to be in the neighborhood of $8,000. :)

But holy cow! Delicious. That hotstamp seems crazy complicated.

Oh Dan, if you're swinging sample sets, I'd take a $5 too :) As much as I'd like a complete set, I'm not spending $25 on a green sample chip with a turtle on it :)

Lol he's looking for 1's not .50's. At 8k that would probably be the most expensive birdcage of .50c chips I think :).

I'm sure I can manage to to bring a sample set or two to MTTD3! The 25 and 100 chips are incredible. I might have one 100 in my set just because its so pretty lol. Foolishly I didn't take a picture of one when I was there :/.

This begs the question, which is the objectionable part? Would you spend $25 on a green sample chips without a turtle on it, or would you spend $25 on a sample chip with a turtle on it so long as it's not green? Inquiring minds want to know

Now... a green turtle chips isn't a bad thing, necessarily. However, I can't think of many individual chips that I own that are worth $25. If I'm spending $25 on a chip, it's gotta be better than a green turtle chip. (y)

I was just thinking, if you are betting $5.50, dealer probably thinks that $.50 is for them and will be sad to not get tipped. I usually throw $1 on top of my BJ bet and toss the dealer the $1 that is won and leave the original $1 on the stack. If you take each $.50, dealer will be bummed. Also, dealer might just give you a $1 and take the $.50 for a win.
