Has anyone completed a trade with Paz? (1 Viewer)

Harley broke my femur one time when he slow rolled 88xx playing PLO for my stack and my 77xx was no good on a AKKQQ board. I literally fell out of my chair and boom, snapped my femur in half.

I was howling and crying in pain and Paz knelt down and gently took my head in his hands and admonished me that it would be OK. I felt bathed in a warm light as he laid his hands on my leg and suddenly the pain was gone. I could walk. I WOULD WALK!

I still dumped $2100 that session, but even PAZ's mystical powers have their limits.

He's the chip fairy. I've gone to my mailbox and found sample sets many times, unprovoked that came from Santa Paz.

Did you just watch the Karate Kid?

My T.R.King dealer button from Santa PAZ was the star of the table last Saturday night as my poker crew played a little cash game with the TRK Nevada Lodge set.
Kinda awesome :)

I had an itch between my shoulder blades in bed last night. I called Paz and he let himself in, scratched my back, and then left quietly after leaving a 3000 chip set of TR Kings on the kitchen counter and a loaf of his wife's incredibly good cinnamon spice bread.

...a loaf of his wife's incredibly good cinnamon spice bread.

how has this thread gotten to this point without a mention of the cinnamon spice bread? i think i gained 3 pounds at the last meetup from that stuff alone.

I was hesitant to try it because I didn't want it to slow me down. When I finally hit it late night I was officially ready to die (after downing another one).

This thread is turning into a legendary Chuck Norris level meme.

Guys and gals, thank you. Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. Stratus51 posted he was trying to complete his Vineyard sample set and just needed the $500 chip. I told him I was recently thinking about putting up a complete sample set (and others) on eBay. Who hasn't been in this position? I waited years to finish a Sands issue and knew what he was going through. I told him I would sell him the chip. We agreed on a price and because he's new here and doesn't know me he asked for references. That's when I suggested he reach out to our community. Thank you for taking the time to post here, it was very helpful as his mind was put as ease.

@bergs: Hope your leg is better! That was a scary night and you were very brave.

@liftapint: Yes, he did buy it. Glad the button is seeing the felt!

@manamongkids: I actually sent up the samples and cinnamon bread to the BBotB on Wednesday knowing I wasn't going to be there till Saturday and wanted you guys to have something before I got there. I wish I did do it the Santa way, that would have been wicked cool!

@abby99 @gopherblue : Your words are as kind as you are. It's been too long - hope to see you soon.

Glad you guys like the bread. I make 6 flavors but the cinnamon is the most popular.

I'm late ot the party here, but just to illustrate that everyone singing PAZ's praises are underselling how nice he is, at the last BBotB, not only did he provide 4 loaves of the amazing cinnamon bread, he had it shipped to my house, because he wanted it to be there early in the week, and he wasn't coming until saturday. The box was also full of pre-bagged sample sets. Enough for everyone in attendance. Then when he showed up, he was carrying more of the cinnamon bread, including a gluten free version so that I could have some.

I should hold more tournaments just to get my hands on more of that bread.

Yes, you should...

okay, spill the beans - gotta know the other flavors...

Made a mistake, there's 7 on my list.

> Sinfully Cinnamon
> Double Chocolate Fudge
> Double Chocolate Mint
> Lemon Cranberry
> Lemon Berry
> White Chocolate Cranberry
> Peanut Butter Cup

The Double Chocolates are great when nuked for 15 seconds, it reactivates the chocolate inside. Two thumbs up from my little guy.
For the berry ones I use Craisans and the Blueberry infused ones.
Happy to bring Cinnamon and an additional type or two next time, just LMK what you guys like!

I might have to go to mikes pastry in the north end of Boston. Grab a shit ton of pastries. Put them in some generic home Tupperware and claim I made them from scratch for BBotB6 just to stay in the same league as PAZ

It takes more than that to get into Paz's league, but it's a start...

Alcohol infused?
Never tried but I bet Baileys would go good with the Double Chocolate Mint and Kahlua with the Double Chocolate Fudge. Hmmmmmm.

Haha if you knew me closely, I have an extreme long time ( 5 years running) beef with Modern Pastry.lol

5 years ago, my first year working in Boston, we had a Thanksgiving work party (first work party I attended). During a lull in the day at work, I walked over to Modern to grab a cake. I waited patiently in the line, waited and waited and waited. I was in the front of the line attempting to give my order for 25 minutes (this was after I had already waited 30 mins in a long single file line)

The final straw was a group walking in off the street, cut the entire line, a family of 4 or 5. Each one of them having orders taken by the 4 or 5 separate workers at Modern, big long orders. I stormed out, went over to Mikes and from that day on Modern can kiss my ass.

did he roll it in his hands like a Cuban cigar to ease the pain? You know there's nothing like giving a man a little pleasure during his time of pain..... So I'm told :D
