Some high denoms pics I found on the interwebs.

As I am unable to use PayPal at this time I will be sitting this one out but I would love five sample sets for Christmas gifts... haven't read through the thread yet but if anyone can assist me I would greatly appreciate it.

I can hook you up. It will wipe out your balance though :)

Checks are accepted to refill your account.

Since my WTB ad was locked, I will post here.

For those of you only buying $1 & $5 chips so that you can buy a tournament set I am willing to buy them for cash, not looking to trade, maybe I wasn't clear in my ad on that point. There are going to be a ton of the $1 & $5 chips out there and I think the price for them is going to only go down from the pre-sale price. The casino had approximately 400k chips they replaced.

There is a reason there is no limit on these two chips after all!

So PM me with with what you are wanting to sell me and a price.

I am looking for about 1000 to 1200 of each chip total. You won't be seeing me try to sell these chips later on for a profit, just looking to build a big set while helping some of you to reduce their total cost to build a tournament set.

I could use a couple barrels (possibly up to a rack) of the secondary $25's, if it works out for someone's order.

I think the secondary market here is a fantastic idea - particularly so when the people participating are dedicated chippers who want to build legitimate sets to use and not simply flip them.

NEED:
$2.50 = NONE
(thanks to @GoStumpy for getting me 110 chips, or 10% of his order)

POSSIBLE EXTRAS:
$25 = 161: after buying n=40 secondary for Mark
$100 = 0: after buying n=108 primary for @Owens76 + n=40 secondary for Mark
$500 = 0: after buying n=20 primary for Ben + n=20 primary for BG + n=52 primary for owens76 + n=20 secondary for Mark
$1000 = 0: after buying n=20 primary for Dan + n=20 secondary for Dan + n=16 secondary for Mark
$5000 = 0: after buying n=16 primary for owens + n=40 secondary for BG

All my extras are accounted for!
^^ This all still in effect, Forrest?

I could be corrected but I think they use an oversize inlay to make the purple effect... Might still be able to put another on top though

That what it looks like to me. I think that would pretty much throw labels out the window.

Hard to tell. Could be a regular size inlay. The other 39mm chips have a faux shaped inlay design so it may look bigger because it doesn't.

The $5 up to the $5K all have the same size inlay. 1 1/16" Grand.
The $25K has a 1 1/4" Super Grand

Looks like the $500 chip has a cog faux-shaped inlay to me (which is likely required by the Ohio gaming board).

The purple part of the chip is actually the chip's base color, and the alternating 1/6th-pies are the spots. Very little of the base color shows with this pattern -- and none of it shows when in stacks.

I definitely like the secondary $500 better. I think the prim $500 style should be a $25K or higher chip but they only make it in 39mm so that's not likely.

Oh, this is the thread I was looking for. If someone could fit in a rack of snappers for me I'd appreciate it very much. Thanks.

I think everyone who posted that they will have X number of extras available should look again. The maximum of 1,750 changed everything in my intended buy.

It does look like they did NOT do a good job matching the color of the label on the $500 chip there, or the chip has faded with the label staying darker.

Either way, pretty sure @Gear can work his magic !! assuming they are in good condition, i think i would take Tommys idea and use as 25K chips in the secondary tourney set.

I have a theory that the first sale was pulled because there was a 90 day grace period to cash in your chips at the new casino.
Change over happened June 6th so they were probably not going to finalize sending out chips till after that 90 day period.

No idea if this is the reason, but it sounds perfectly plausible. (y)

Actually i don't think using the 500 relabeled to 25k is such a good idea. too much color similarity and also the 1k and 5k are 43mm so a little unimpressive to then step down to a 39mm 25k chip.
Oh well.

My wife and I will be in just about the middle of our anniversary dinner when the sale starts. Not that chips aren't romantic (o_O) but my wife might take umbrage if I interrupt dinner for this (or if I ask to change reservations based on the sale start time). If anybody is not maxing out their 5 sample set limit and is willing to grab a sample set for me, that would be sweet. (Please lemme know) Thank you.

UPDATE: Andrew (dew4au) has me covered--thank you! :D

You're thinking of Horseshoe Cincinnati. Cleveland converted May 10th. Chips expired August 9. Cincinnati converted a month later. On a related note I always thought it was weird that Cincinnati had $2 chips but Cleveland did not. They were pretty sweet looking too.

Another theory debunked!

I was just saying this edgespot style (#35 I think) in general would be better for high denoms. But since the only make in 39mm, it's not likely.
