I'm just impressed that someone was able to buy them and sit on them for three months. I don't know the going wholesale rate but 400,000 chips takes some serious scratch. There aren't a lot of people who have that kind of money laying around with no real urgency to recoup their investment. If I drained our savings account and shook down a few relatives I could probably buy the chips from a small casino but my wife would be on my butt daily until every single penny was paid back. Hell, wasn't Jim taking orders as he was driving to Cleveland to pick them up? I could be off by a few days but he sure didn't hold them long.

In fact, this is one reason why in a previous post I (wrongly) speculated that the Cincinnati chips were gone since they hadn't been heard of in so long.

Key factor in buisness - always keep them wanting more.

Like that's an issue with this group...

That assumes that The Chip Room and The Chip Exchange were owned by the same people. But they're not. This would be more like WalMart waiting to run a sale on 42 inch JVC TVs piled high in their warehouse until after Target sells out of the 42 inch Sonys it has had on sale for two months.

You couldn't of used Nordstrom's and Saks Fith Avenue as your example? That makes me Walmart ;)

Ah but to give a product analogy I would have to admit having knowledge of the brands carried in those establishments . As it is, I just know what the bottom line is on my wife's (read: my) credit card bill! :x

For those who are unfamiliar, the Horseshoe Cincinnati Chip pics are here (as posted by @Dr. Matt ): The 1k is oversized, on IHC mold:

Note that there are no pictures of the secondary higher denomination chips (yet). @Ronoh 's rack pictures are certainly sweet.

I like how the plywood is stamped "PLYWOOD".
FRAGILE (it's Italian) HIS END UP (A little Cleveland Christmas joke for you).

If you look closely there is probably also a warning that the product contains one or more chemicals known to the state of California to do all sorts of horrific things short of starting a nuclear war.

God, I hope he pulls a lamp out of one of those crates (and that the real crate is still on its way...)!
