I’m pretty sure Ray has an electronic device that can receive messages from other forum members too
it's similar to yours, but without @bergs having sole control.
Pretty much this. J3 is the razor answer. What part of misreading ones hand do people find so hard to understand?
I've had river bets called by people who check their hand pre then double, triple and quadruple check post, turn and river yet are still genuinely shocked when their expected hand is actually complete air/trash. People I would describe as usually competent players.
Stress, adrenaline, anxiety and pressure do very strange things to the human brain.
Avoiding the shame associated with admitting ones mistakes like misreading a hand on a highly public stream is also a powerful force. Takes someone with healthy self esteem, who are secure and confident in themselves to admit that, something that from my observations of Robbi she does not have. Chip on shoulder, point to prove, sticking it to men of poker, cosmetic surgery to alter her appearance, fake tan etc.
My money is still on J3 as most reasonable explanation so far.
But would I be shocked with all this smoke if it comes out that she did infact cheat? Not in the slightest.
They're doing no delay today to prove how secure it is.Stream hasn't started yet when it was supposed to 25 minutes ago. Hmm....
Are RIP, Bryan or Gman currently pregnant, or did they recently give birth?? That could explain a lot in this situation. #science #trustthescience #itsprovableWell yeah and masks. That’s just provable science. Let’s not bring scientifically proven theories to this thread.
We don’t need facts here buddy.
There's a few theories on this one. First off, she only needs 40% equity, so with 47% equity she's getting the right price to make the call.
Second, there was some discussion regarding the in the deck having been replaced. The theory was that in real-time the system was misreading her hand as and so in the control room they think she has the flush draw AND is ahead with jack-high vs Garret, putting her in the over 70% equity position here (then when they see the card is actually a 4 in her hand and not a 6 it's corrected in time for the livestream, but in real-time in the control room they saw something different)
If somehow they know the runout and thus which hand will win at showdown, they can obviously signal her to jump on a big pot in this spot. It's not a smart move since it looks super suspect, but greed and desperation leads criminals to make mistakes that get them caught.
So those are just three possible reasons why they might be able to signal her to call in that spot
So that’s interestingAccording to that latest video from Berkey discussed a bit up in this thread, he claimed that Pokergo is the leader of the field of streamers by a long margin. Partly because of Nevada gaming regulations, and partly because Pokergo has by far the biggest bugdet. They have real strict secutiry policy. Even other streams, such as the Lodge and others have more solid security than Hustler Live.
In the same video Berkey and the others also discuss alternatives such as having the card readers read the cards AFTER the hand is finished. The main problem with doing this seems to be for production to be working blind with their camerawork, not knowing who has the interesting hands. Might mean more cameras are needed, and more editing work. Still might be worth it to ensure the integrity of the game. Not having a computer or a person knowing your hand sounds pretty safe at least.
Just curious as to exactly what actions/words by them would "look good" in your opinion.
So I guess what I see here is.
A) she may have cheated and we don’t know. This group can be anywhere from meh.. maybe but doubtful to wow she seems sketchy but we do t know.
B) she absolutely cheated
C) she absolutely didn’t cheat
For group C. I do t think there’s anyone in that group.
For group A there a LOT of people
For group B. Thai is the group I have a problem with, I think there are a couple here in this group.
Only problem with this theory -- and it's a big problem-- is the unlikelihood of this particular spot being the optimum time to utilize such a cheat scenario, vs earlier or future opportunities containing less financial risk and game-play speculation. These factors make it significantly less likely to be true, imo.
Both Robbi and Bryan used "wouldn't not" in their tweets.
How anyone can think they didn't work together to craft the story of that fake-ass message and instead believe it's just an insane coincidence is positively mind-boggling to me
AND that he only took chips off her stack and no one elses. Coincidence after coincidence
They'll change their minds. The poker audience wants very, very badly to see everyone's cards. TV Poker didn't take off until they started using tiny cameras to show everyone's hole cards.Live at the Bike going cards down tonight until showdown. Hmm, interesting decision - probably to say 'we'll try to change to be more secure'
Not a great viewing experience, but gives the appearance they are taking it seriously. They are actually live/ very short delay with chat playing on screens. Interesting decision
Probably waiting to update the tech where a stream made available on a delay and cards are not known while the hand is actually live in IRL but will be available "live" on the delayed stream. They'll change their minds. Not possible, unless the players at the table hold onto their hands and then present them to the readers after the hand goes to showdown rather than folding them without showing them.Probably waiting to update the tech where a stream made available on a delay and cards are not known while the hand is actually live in IRL but will be available "live" on the delayed stream.
That said, one of the main reasons I discount the possibility of cheating is not that this is a bad spot to cheat, but that this seems to be the only spot that they cheated.
I snorted my scotch when I read this. Such a great sentence. The Golden Boy for sure. Such a funny thing for a large group to agree on. And for it to be said so matter of fact.he’s asked around LA and everybody who knows Garrett agrees that he’s never been wrong about anything.
Yup. No argument. But I’m on boardI snorted my scotch when I read this. Such a great sentence. The Golden Boy for sure. Such a funny thing for a large group to agree on. And for it to be said so matter of fact.
I don’t care what really happened.Caitlin out here wrecking EVERYBODY!
so what I proposed is possible then if players scan their cards after they muck and or the hand is over. Not possible, unless the players at the table hold onto their hands and then present them to the readers after the hand goes to showdown rather than folding them without showing them.
Otherwise, the cards will be known to someone, at least hypothetically, even if they're not displayed to the booth staff or overlaid onto the mixed and recorded video stream. The computer system will have to read the cards at the start of the hand, and even if it keeps them secret, whoever has access to the computer system would be able to reprogram the system to leak the card information to someone somehow. You wouldn't be able to prove they weren't leaking, and you wouldn't even be able to safely and reasonably assume they weren't leaking any more than you can right now.

Yeah, Garrett did bad on survivor. Most poker players have. I think Jean Robert went the deepest and god love him but it wasn’t prettyI take it that everybody who knows Garrett in LA aren't Survivor fans then...
"After surprisingly being named the Luzon tribe's weakest member by tribe leader David Samson, Garrett managed to find a Hidden Immunity Idol on Day 1 and orchestrate David's blindside at the season's first Tribal Council. However, after Luzon's second loss, Garrett made the fatal mistake of holding an open forum and telling J'Tia Taylor she would be voted out. Irked by this, Tasha Fox orchestrated his blindside by the Luzon women, sending Garrett home with his idol still back at camp."
