If I could turn back time (advice for newbies) (1 Viewer)

Same. Although I don’t probably qualify for “old days”. It’s been a blast. Buying everything in sight, selling, trading, giveaways, all of it.

If anything, I wish I had bought more high denom sets earlier, had I realized I would find a way to get to a super low net cost by selling some sets to big off-forum home game runners at excellent margins. Turns out, once educated about chips and molds, some of the more diligent ones love the idea of felting real casino chips on their tables.
that's cool, turning non chippers onto good chips, I always liked doing that

buy TRK, get TRK custom set, buy cic, get BCC custom set, Call myself Skywalker

Buy out every Chip room sale.
This. Buy max and dont hesitate.

Also I have seen how well users who joined shortly after me who came in a spent what I considered crazy amounts to buy premium chips. Not only did they actually get a good deal but they also established relationships with bigtime chippers.

My current WTHC set consists of about 1200 chips. My total investment is around $1500. Should have bought about 5 times as many at the prices I originally payed.

My advice would be to think of the biggest possible game you wouldhost and get all the chips plus extra barrels now. don’t think I’ll just get the rest down the road. Chipmakers come and go in specific chip availability comes and goes in and you will make yourself crazy when you can’t get what you need or what works with the set that you got. Think you need 500 chips? Get at least 600.
