ImCrossland’s Chipping Journey! (Lol) (6 Viewers)

I shared with a couple members and their feedback was encouraging enough to share here. Before the roasting begins, just know that my target audience was my younger siblings and they love it. We all love the BTP's vibrant, circus theme and I wanted to follow along with that theme. While there's a ton of color matching across chips, it was the best I could come up with considering the bright choices available.

Okay ripping the band-aid off:

These are awesome!! Great job.

Just know that the light blue will come out more grayish than blue. I'd go DG Peacock on the $1 if you want more of a blue chip. Make the base on the $5 DG Yellow and you have yourself a set!
Light blue seems to vary in perceived appearance greatly depending on the spot colors imo. Same for a lot of cpc colors.

Edit: I'm told this design is not possible due to spot splitting. Please hold lol

It's possible, but you'd probably have a higher percentage of split spots on a nonweighted base chip with weighted spot colors, yes.

What the primary motivator for this set? Bright colours and fun design or wanting custom clays?

If its the former then I would consider doing a custom set of ceramics if its the later then I would probably consider revisiting your colour choices. Not sure if you have a CPC sample set but the look and feel is different to all the brightly coloured Paulson sets you have in your possession.

Also with custom CPCs its not going to be a simple matter of selling them if you dont like them like you have been with your paulson sets. Inlay art aside, the chip itself need to be something you have to really love beyond the initial excitement of another new set, which includes the mold.

At the end of the day you are going to do what you want but there is plenty of experience here on PCF that you can learn from to make sure you will love your customs for many years to come.

Looking forward to seeing how it all develops.

The primary motivator for this set is having a fun silly collection of chips to play with the siblings. I find myself a little tense and uneasy when we're playing with a set like BTP and my little sister is splashing the pot because of how fun it is to her. With these, I can relax and let them have a bit of fun without me being Mr. Lame.

I'm happy with the color choices considering the vibrant options available. If I were running a casino or poker room, they would have been more "traditional" but they're primarily for the family who love bright shit like me. I have a number of CPC sample sets and have a pretty good idea of what the kids will like playing with.

The relative cost of a complete set of custom CPC makes it very unlikely I will not "like" them. Plus, it allows me to sell some more expensive Paulson's and essentially save money on this deal (at least that's how I rationalize it).

At the end of the day, the chips were made for the audience at home, rather than the audience online. Was still excited to share and hopefully give some others another example to learn from when building their own personal sets.
