Love it!!!

Drop the .00

I would keep the $ if it’s cash game vs tourney chip

If the river itself was a bit skinner, may look more like an F.
I agree, but instead of making the river thinner I would make the short, thin cross line a bit thicker and possibly tapered at the end (maybe a slight upward curve at the end.) Possibly run the cross line under the ‘alls’?

H mold would be a nice fit. Don't forget to order some extras for samples

Also depending on your chip count you could do a small run of the out of registration as a duplicate chip, say 60, so you can have some for a sample.

Tried to have both,

- Water flowing from mountain
- Space for Huka

Still balanced or too busy?

Super crude. If you…
a. Shrink the denom
b. Drop the Falls & rotate a touch
c. Angle the water a touch

You should have the space to add HUKA or Huka and keep the one line flow.

Also you say inlay, but what is your plan? Clay?

Because 43mm would give you more chip!

Hey @allforcharity thanks a lot for your input, I really like the pooling water idea that allows a contrasting colour to lay white text on.

I've one more design that leans more towards the original one and coloured a couple in, I've always been able to draw but colours definitely don't come natural to me.

Unsure but at the same time does add something.

This is amazing but the 1 is a little off, love the color, which is likely you'll want to color match it with the chip

This "1" is hot! :

Perhaps a design with both the yellow sky and the yellow fill for the $1 would look nice? Just a suggestion, given that my art skills are not up to snuff. Also I love the cursive lettering

Have you figured out a base color scheme yet?

What do you think about: .25/1/5/20/100

Hey to answer your questions I know I keep calling in an inlay but just 'design' for now.

I live in New Zealand so have never experienced clay chips so the want is not really there and the price is scary!

I like the base colours you have chosen and perhaps I could change the position of the sun in the sky (changing sky colour) in each denom to reflect a time between dawn and dusk which could then correlate to chip and # colour?

Ooooh had a quick go at the chip designer, what a learning curve!

Just a super rough go, I prefer the larger spots of one or varying colours not a lot of small spots specially the small skinny ones, don't know why but there you go.

not a fan of the h mold personally but i understand why its the obvious choice. id also change the background to a shade of grey. Another personal preference but also would avoid white spots to have better contrast with the inlay.

ive only been on pcf a short time but that inlay* paired with the right colours has the potential to be HOF material.

I really hope this comes to fruition for you some day.

*what ever the final iteration ends up looking like

Really appreciate all your feedback and help @davislane went with the H mold as that's what someone suggested, what would you like to see?

THC..... My favs are jockey, diasq and circsq.

given the retro inlay there is a huge case for scrown.

ultimately at its a personal decision you will have to make if and when these go into production

My initial thoughts were scrown as well...that mold is old casino history.
H mold has a great history as well, cant go wrong with either.

If only the arodie was still available!

change the background color on the designer to grey, it will do wonders for you!

try it on this scrown

Get color samples and mold samples. Hopefully you can get what you want in one chunk to save costs.

You’ll find passionate camps for and against each mold. So best to play with samples and pick what you like. You can dig into the history of each here: https://www.antiquegamblingchips.com/molddesignindex_site.htm

You can always play with the Alibaba ceramic crowd in the meanwhile.

if you go CPC I HAVE to have a sample!

What a rabbit hole the chip designer is! how do you guys pull yourself out of the abyss??

I've been using this samples picture I found in the classifieds to work from so you can see actual colour next to actual colour even if they aren't exact they're all under the same light.

I've played around and have come to like a solid .25¢ and a 1/2 pie grey/white $100.

I think I'm leaning more towards keeping the orange denominations across all chips. Here's an uncoloured draft of the other denoms.

Taking that into account the colours need to mesh with Navy/Orange/Light blue.

Like I said previously I prefer the larger spot patterns and only really like three or four smaller spots. I also like the solid .25¢ idea and a 1/2 pie White/Grey $100

Here's a couple with both single and multicolor spots using same and progressing spot patterns.
