Morning all.
Thanks for that reply
@warma, I was in the middle of replying to
@Machine last night trying to put some of those questions across but then something important came up.. poker night!!
Even though I'm nursing a $50 loss those questions still remain!
I do really, really like the blue trimoon mock up we came up with in previous posts but like I said shortly after when I mocked up the rest of the set with multiple colours it all looked too busy. I think in isolation it looks great but detracts from the inlay when the spot patterns/colours are too busy across the set. Same goes for the spot pattern used in the yellow $20 above.
I can see a place for it if I used it as the $5 had two tone 3TRIM either side for $1 & $20, solid frac and my 1/2pie $100. Thoughts?
I've tried NOT to mock up chips using the dayglo colours as I'd imagine (tried researching) that when older Casinos using inlays like that wouldn't have had access to those colours?
I came across a set the other day 'Kings Inn' that somebody made .25¢ & $1 for, really liked the simple look of that and the inlay colours were the same as what I've used.
Also an article linked somewhere here by David Sprag? On Borland chips? It's where I got the 1/2pie $100 from.
I'm really happy with how the inlay is/will be, it has that feel I was going for so want the surrounding chip to enhance that feeling more whether that's full vintage or inspired!
Sorry for the long post.
