When there are 27 players left in the ME, players get assigned to entrants by chipstack (#1 get the chip leader down to #27 gets the short stack).

Pays 4 spots (assuming all 27 spots fill up)
1st place (lasts longest): $125
2nd place: $75
3rd place: $45
4th place: $25

@NotRealNameNoSir nailed it. When there are 27 players left in the Main Event, I'll assign ME players to pool entrants by stack size. The big stack goes to @raynmanas (because he drew #1) and I'll get the short stack (because I drew #27).

In years past, I recall a tournament day ending once they were down to 27. I hope that happens this year, but I'll do my best to confirm the chip stacks of the last 27 players if they keep playing past the time when 27 are left in the ME.

Also, I wished I had thought of it this year, but I can't change the rules now, so NEXT YEAR if I do it again, I'll assign a small payout to the player who advances the most (biggest move from position with 27 left to finish position), that way, the bottom of the list has something to fight for too.

Ummm…I’m pretty sure it is supposed to be in reverse order @WedgeRock. You should have big stack and then go down the list in reverse order. I know I read that somewhere.

Official structure seat for Event #81 does not show a play down to 27 players. But that should probably happen on Saturday, July 13 (Tournament Day 7) when the field plays five levels.

Along with myself, we are the bottom 10 stacks. Any interest in a winner-take-all side bet for $5 (don't pay me now, pay the winner at the end of the Main Event). By way of example, @Littleluck55's player is going to be in 26th place to start the Final 27. If Littleluck55's player finishes the Main Event in 10th place, that would be a jump of 16 spots. Of then 10 of us, whoever makes the biggest jump from position with 27 left to finish position wins the side bet?

Not all 10 of us has to get in on this side bet, but if at least five people confirm before the end of the day Thursday (July 11, 2024), the bet is on.
