Yeah I was thinking that. I did the math and I'm going to get 200 single ones cleaned 300 single reds cleaned 75-25s and 25/100sOn the 1-2 set, just make sure it's worth it to you to pay a high premium for that rack of $2. If my math is correct, you are paying @ $3.15 each for them in that set vs. buying the others separately. I love those $2 chips too, but they are expensive. I would assume that there are not many of them available, so be ready with a backup plan if that 1-2 set sells out so you get those bargain chips that you really need for your game. Good luck, these sales are fun!
AND, twos are kind of stupid. Theyre good for a limit set if you've got a buttload of them, and they're good to relabel as fracs in youre into that sort of thing, but using them as $2s in a cash set with $1s and $5s is not a standard move.Yeah I was thinking that. He did say "single table tournament"What if you’re running 2,000 man tournaments in your moms basement? Whatcha gonna do then? Have each player at the final table sitting with thousands of chips in front of them? Be realistic.
And then I read it againWhat if you’re running 2,000 man tournaments in your moms basement? ... Be realistic.
Maybe it’s a 2,000 seat tableHe did say "single table tournament"
More like thisJim: announces new sale.
PCFers announcing their interest and happiness:
and what, a 4,500 card deck?Maybe it’s a 2,000 seat table
Just buy a 90 deck shuffle tech.and what, a 4,500 card deck?
That would suck to shuffle
how many people play in your game?Yeah I was thinking that. I did the math and I'm going to get 200 single ones cleaned 300 single reds cleaned 75-25s and 25/100s
Anywhere between 6 and 10 for $1- $2 max buy in 300. And it rises respectively with any blind change i.e. $2 - 5 etc.how many people play in your game?
I will pm u a suggestionAnywhere between 6 and 10 for $1- $2 max buy in 300. And it rises respectively with any blind change i.e. $2 - 5 etc.

when you change to 2/5 does your buyin max stay at 300?Anywhere between 6 and 10 for $1- $2 max buy in 300. And it rises respectively with any blind change i.e. $2 - 5 etc.
No it increases as wellwhen you change to 2/5 does your buyin max stay at 300?
seems a bit complicated with the increase in blinds for making a set. changing from 1/2 to 2/5 isn't great when it comes to buying a set because you don't need a lot of 1s for 2/5 but you do for 1/2. you also need way more 25s for 2/5 than 1/2.No it increases as well

I’m gonna say it again, even though nobody likes to hear it - you don’t need A LOT of $1s to play $1/2. Ever play 1/2 in a casino, and look around and see the average stack has like five $1s? Of course, they have a dealer who’s good with managing change, so go ahead and double that number if you want. But a single rack of $1s should be plenty sufficient for a home 1/2 game.seems a bit complicated with the increase in blinds for making a set. changing from 1/2 to 2/5 isn't great when it comes to buying a set because you don't need a lot of 1s for 2/5 but you do for 1/2. you also need way more 25s for 2/5 than 1/2.

i like to go with 15 1s in a starting stack because i personally bet specific amounts. my friends are more of the bet 5, then 10, then 20 type. so in their case, i would give them 10. i like to give players stacks which i feel reflect their style of betting. if i was building a 1/2 set i would probably go with either 100 or 120 $1s.100% agree.
I like more chips because well, MOAR chips.
That said, I've spent alot of time playing casino $1/2, and the stacks are all $5s, a few $1s, and a few $25s if it has been a good session.
Love it man! I like the $1s too. The cash sets that I have, all have 300+ $1s, 300+ $5s and I've even got a cash set with a rack of $25 and rack of $100. Oh...and I also have multiple sets with both $0.25 and $0.50 frac options. i'm only 20 so we play 5c/10c, use the dollar values on chips as cent values, or penny values since we're english. low stakes still doesn't stop my love of chips but my wallet isn't a fanLove it man! That all said, I've never even hosted more than 6 men(or women) to play, and yet the sets I've built, really make me question my own sanity and intelligence. I've never even felted a $25 in any home game I've ever run!

Its very similar to fracs in a .25/.50 game, and most people agree that youre fine with a single rack of those. If you like tall stacks of all denoms, that’s fine - buy lots of chips and put them on the table. But in terms of what you NEED, I don’t think you need a lot one ones for 1/2.
