Ordering question for Jim @TheChipRoom :

If I get beat to the draw by my friends here and some chips are no longer available, will my order that I have submitted still meet the percentage limit calculations (even though I won’t get some of the chips) or will I have to recalculate a new order and it’s limits on the fly? That could be tricky and I worry I would just miss out on more as I try to figure it out.

I have my order all ready, I just need to know if I need contingency plan orders should I get shut out on certain chips. Hopefully you understand my question.

Thanks again for all the excitement around here!
That is a tough one indeed. If you go to place your order and say the primary $500 are sold out. I think it won't let you complete your order. Can someone please confirm. At that point you can try and add secondary $500s. If that doesn't work either, you will have to redo on the fly. I know that would be troublesome, but it's the only way. I can only review each order individually to see if it complies, otherwise the amount of work it would take to see the time when things went in and out of stock would be insurmountable. Sorry, if it creates a problem, but it's all I can do to try and keep it fair.

The colors for the $5K differ in the individual pictures vs the sample set picture. What color are they?

@TheChipRoom, I'd like to try my hand at a small order of these chips, but I might have missed a clarification. Is it okay to mix the primary and secondary chips of denoms $25 through $5000 as long as the total of each denom is within the % limit? For example, if I made a 400 chips order, I could order up to 20x 5000 (5% of total), but I'd like to split it as 10x primary and 10x secondary. Is this allowed?

Contemplating a few sample racks and enough assorted cash denoms to do a single table 10 player T2K set

20x $0.25
20x $1
20x $2.50
120x $5
120x $25 (110 Primary, 10 Secondary)
90x $100 (80 Primary, 10 Secondary)
40x $500 (30 Primary, 10 Secondary)
20x $1000 (10 Primary, 10 Secondary)
20x $5000 (10 Primary, 10 Secondary)

470 chips, $1260 and change

and then look to buy 10x $500 Primary, and 30-40x $1000 Primary after the 1st hour, on the secondary market, or from someone else who doesn't need them
You would have to purchase 480 chips to get 120 $5s (25%), otherwise everything else is fine.

It will only let you order if everything is available if something is not available you will have to adjust.

Pictures, Grand Opening chips and Sample sets have been added.
Jim, In the first post (as of a few minutes ago) I think the primary and Secondary $500 photos are reversed.
[Edit - Jim's already fixed it]

Strange that the grand opening $5 has different edge spots than the standard $5. Wonder if there was initially a plan to have a primary and secondary $5?

Any chance at a photo of the roulettes, even though they aren’t part of this sale? I am trying to decide what to do for a frac, (I won’t be able to get what I need of the real fracs).

Thanks!

Thanks @TheChipRoom for the reply.

Does adding chips to the cart take them out of inventory? Or do u need to compete the purchase?
I assume ordering 4 denominations means 4 separate transactions.

It will be one transaction. You will need to go back and forth between the sites adding chips to your cart. The sale needs to be one transaction for the % to be possible.

Thanks @TheChipRoom

In the past, putting them in your cart did not remove them from inventory. Completing the purchase removes them from inventory. That is the crux of the challenge. Creating your order and submitting it before someone else does.

That seems to be a thing these days. Check out the $5 chips at the Parq Casino here in Vancouver:

Completing the purchase takes them out of inventory. Each denomination is added to the cart separately, but you only check out once.

My guess is they were expecting casino patrons to take all the GO chips off the premises.

I think it is worth pointing this out again to the folks who aren't reading the OP carefully:
1. No multiple orders to hit your percentages. Each order must comply to the percentages or it will be cancelled and refunded
The "trick" of loading and checking out the rarer chips and then loading and checking out the rest of your order is not going to fly this time.

Will it tell me what chips are no longer available when I try to submit. Or how many of that denom are left?

I don’t believe so. In the past it will just say something like there’s no more inventory for one or more of the chips. You won’t know which ones. You have to resubmit the order without those chips and likely replace them with others to meet limits. It is difficult with this many people for the limited denoms. Invariably people end up posting in the sales thread 30 seconds later stating they got their order in. By the 1 minute mark you start seeing people posting they couldn’t complete their order because some chip denoms are out and that screwed up their whole order plan and now they got nothing etc. then you get lots more of those posts over the next few minutes... it can be frustrating, so I can’t emphasize enough, as others have, be quick as you can, have a back up plan, but probably most importantly, prepare yourself mentally and emotionally to not get the exact order or any chips at all IF you are looking for rarer denoms. That’s gotta be the most important thing not to have your day or week ruined if you don’t get what you want. It’s highly likely to happen to those looking for the coveted denoms. There’s not really a better way, and we all thank Jim for the chance at any of these chips.
