I like all of them except the $100 and its my personal taste that I know most of the guys here will not agree. :D

@TheChipRoom, I'd like to try my hand at a small order of these chips, but I might have missed a clarification. Is it okay to mix the primary and secondary chips of denoms $25 through $5000 as long as the total of each denom is within the % limit? For example, if I made a 400 chips order, I could order up to 20x 5000 (5% of total), but I'd like to split it as 10x primary and 10x secondary. Is this allowed?

Contemplating a few sample racks and enough assorted cash denoms to do a single table 10 player T2K set

20x $0.25
20x $1
20x $2.50
120x $5
120x $25 (110 Primary, 10 Secondary)
90x $100 (80 Primary, 10 Secondary)
40x $500 (30 Primary, 10 Secondary)
20x $1000 (10 Primary, 10 Secondary)
20x $5000 (10 Primary, 10 Secondary)

470 chips, $1260 and change

and then look to buy 10x $500 Primary, and 30-40x $1000 Primary after the 1st hour, on the secondary market, or from someone else who doesn't need them

Interesting..... I think the $5 is the best chip in the set, after the primary $500.

re: the chip lineup... the 5 may be the best looking 5 that I've ever come across.

I may be wrong, but that seems like a pretty rare spot pattern for a 5, more befitting a 100 or larger demon.

absolutely love it.

As BG said above, there are only a few chips in this lineup that aren't spectacular.

Thanks again Jim!!!

Yep and yep... think inverted spotted bird (or no bird) multiplied by 4

I was really not wanting to buy any more chips but the $5 and secondary $25 are soooo awesome I’m probably not going to be able to sit on the sidelines for this one. Especially considering how good the pricing is for them. We haven’t seen mint Paulson’s for under $2 across a playable set in a very long time!!

So happy Jim @TheChipRoom got these.

That's discouraging. I really hope it doesn't come down to that!
What will happen is you will try to put chips in your paypal cart and it will tell you that your quantity is not available. So while you contemplate what else to do, everything else you want is also running out. So you have to know what you are going to add differently if things run out on you. The faster you can click it, the better.

This was Jim's reply from a similar question earlier:

@TheChipRoom - Jim, to clarify, do we need to choose only pri or secondary or can we mix to hit the percentage...
ex. - if I were to order 2000 chips could 50 be primary $5k and 50 be secondary $5k? as long as the total is 5% or less of the denomination?
Yes that is allowed

Jim

Ugh.

That's disappointing to hear.

Out of curiosity, what kind of timeline are we realistically looking at here before certain denoms are completely sold out?

Will I at least know which chips are the problem or will it be like a price is right game and you have to try and figure out which chip is the problem?

Maybe 2 mins. Prob under.

Edit. For the denoms that are limited

My guess is under 5 minutes for the really popular and low-quantity chips. I will not publicly guess which those will be.

I just noticed this, but I'm still trying to figure out what is meant by "Early" in the title of the sale.

Also, what's funny about these chips is that when I originally saw the now-lost order sheets ;) I wasn't really wild about any of them...

Goes to show you need to see pictures to know how the chips will turn out.

Love the chips I want a cash set but might have to bail out not sure how you do a cash set without buying all kinds of chips I don’t need. Might be the first Jim sale I never took apart of for the last 7 plus years.

I would love to put together a 2 table T-25 base tournament set. Assuming I am able to get any chips at all, I will not have enough $1000 chips. In an attempt to jump the queue of folks pandering for high denomination chips, I am putting out there that, although I prefer to part with cash or unneeded Jacks chips to get what I want (need?), I am willing to trade my beloved high denomination PNY chips and my Aztar Missouri chips. The Aztars are still in their shipping box from a similar 2009 Chip Room sale because I never got a $5 chip to go with the set. So, anyone with interest in either mint PNYs or Aztars, keep this Maine boy in mind.

Pictures, Grand Opening chips and Sample sets have been added. The Grand Opening and sample set chips may bee added above the 2000 chips limit. This is very confusing with the grand opening chips. I tried to explain it as best I could, but if you have any questions, please let me know before the sale so there is no confusion.

Thanks, Jim

think you got the $500s switched

So after an hour, the limits are removed.

If I only want 200 x $1 chips, then that’s fine, even if I don’t partake in the ‘main sale’

Granted there are any chips left...

Don't forget to adjust your clocks before this sale

-edit- or maybe don't and you'll be an hour early (nope!)

-edit-edit- definitely adjust your clocks

For those of you who have never experienced a Chip Room sale, there are a few rules. We try to do things so people can acquire a complete set at good prices. The limits are to prevent people from purchasing large quantities of single denominations that prevent others from completing their sets. We also have to factor in our quantities into the calculations.
We will post a time and date for the sale. At that time, the shopping cart will appear after you refresh your screen. Each chip will be listed individually and you have to load each denomination and quantity into your cart before you check out. Sometimes chips can sell out very quickly, so don't delay.

Grand Opening Chips
**These chips can be added above the 2000 chip limits. These chips can purchased alone or as part of a set. This is a little confusing, but you can either choose to have them count toward your percentage or not. VERY IMPORTANT: The Maximum the $5 chips can count is towards 25% of your order and the maximum the $25 chips can count is 35% of your order. What I trying to say, if you try and use this as a loophole or to try and "game the system", I will be very disappointed and will refund your order. If you are unsure, please send me your scenario before the sale.

$5 chips - $1.29/chip (limit 1000 per household)

The limits may be confusing, because we have never had primaries and secondaries that are both new. The limits listed above are whether you choose primary or secondary, not both. (Example: if you order 2000 chips, you can either order 1 rack of primary or 1 rack of secondary $5000 chips, not both)

Rules

1) Primary and Secnodary chips are limited to 2000 chips per household (grand opening and sample sets can be added above 2000)
2) All orders MUST comply to the denomination percentage limits or they will be cancelled and refunded (no exceptions)
  1. No multiple orders to hit your percentages. Each order must comply to the percentages or it will be cancelled and refunded
  2. After the first hour, all limits on percentages will be removed and you can purchase up to 1000 additional chips with no limits.

Thanks! Jim
To confirm, the 8V $500 chip is PRIMARY or SECONDARY? In your original photos, the 8V $500 was listed as primary, but in the listing photos it's listed as secondary, but in the sample set photos, it's amongst the primary denoms.

Thanks for clarifying! :)

If you only want 200 ones, I have room to add them to my order if you are interested.
