Sounds like a giveaway counter expert.Well... we can put an upper limit estimate on the possible number of chips. If an RHC chip is approx. a cylinder 39mm in diameter and 3.16mm in height, then each chip is ~3,775 cubic millimeters. A 55 gallon drum is 208,197,648 cubic millimeters, so ~55,000 chips per drum, less some because they aren't actually liquid. Just eyeballing each one at 85% packing density puts it a little under 47k-chips per drum.
In for 1.5 gallons."Gallons" are hereby renamed kilochips.
wish I were here during HSI sale ;(

No, don't think so. The chips look similar enough and the pictures come from this article about the casinoDidn't someone else conclude that this photo is from a different Indiana casino?
The $25s look quite odd in the photo but the rest seem too close in color/pattern especially the $100Didn't someone else conclude that this photo is from a different Indiana casino?

The scan of the $25 make it look a lot darker green than it is I think. That pic of the table is about exactly how I’d expect the $25s to look in stacks under a photo flash. The $25s look quite odd in the photo but the rest seem too close in color/pattern especially the $100 View attachment 905564

It's convenient and guarantee head on shot. I can imagine having a dedicated camera and set up if they wanted production level to be higher.why in christ's name are we still scanning chips, in 2022?
yesSomeone should fill a 5 gallon bucket with chips to get a better estimate as to how many could fit in a 55 gallon drum.
If they’re bike tires my guess is 21I was always told there were 20 chips in a barrel.

Jim will announce before when chips will go on sale. There will be a set time and depending on the chip, some quantity limits. Look at some of his previous sales here:So I'm new to chipping, and this will be my first sale. Any tips, tricks or things to know. I would be looking for a tournament set, I would say between 500-700 chips. Am I dreaming or is this attainable. I really dont want to get my hope's up, just to be crushed with disappointment. Will they announce the date and time of the sale or will it just be a surprise???
