I can’t decide if I would prefer to use the tourney set as a cash set or go with the Cali lineup. I would have to use the pinks as a $500 in this lineup.
We can add a $500 if there is enough demand

This will be the final tourney design

I will put together a cash set with $ in the next couple of days as well
I'd rather go with this set for cash games and tournaments. The cash option is Cali and I've been disappointed in the past with the Matsui yellow $5. The yellow is not bright enough for my tastes. The traditional colors the additional $ signs

Oh wow, I thought the yellow chip in the WSOP set is super bright. Interesting.
In contrast, their red options kinda suck. LOL.

Tough call for me, but if I do jump in for a set, I am leaning tourney chips as cash as well.

The yellow chips in our group buy are probably the best I've seen in a long time. They are much brighter than the yellows I've seen from the previous sets I've owned from Matsui.

Justin, would you mind posting the tournament set with the colors listed (and a mock-up of anyone has done it) like you did for the Cali set? Thanks.

He can probably do this, with his photo editing magic. But I'll tell you, it's NOT easy with the Matsui chip design tool. In fact, it's a pain in the ass.

Mel @liftapint has the matsui samples to create the actual chips. We might convince her to mock these up when time allows :)

100% agree but remember the Emerald Bay yellow $5. I was expecting bright yellow like the color sample but the actual chip yellow didn't quite match up.

Yeah, Matsui has 2 different color set options, based on the type of plastic that the chips will be made out of. The plastic that the Emerald Bay used was ABS, I believe, and have very bright color options (like the neon orange), but the plastic makes for very slippery chips. The plastic that the Horseshoe WSOP chips used is Nylon, has more muted colors, but the feel of the plastic is SO much better, making grippy and not slippery chips.

This Sands group buy will use the Nylon plastic, so it will be nothing like the Emerald Bay chips. The yellow will match the Horseshoe chip. Of course, whatever spot colors are paired with the base, can impact how the base color looks. I actually think the yellow Horseshoe chip looks brighter yellow than my color samples.

Where Matsui have a problem is their reds/oranges. The ABS colours are much brighter than nylon but as Mel said, they are slippery. Of the nylon colours, 17 Scarlet looks to be the best in the flesh. The 19 Orange looks blaze on screen but isn't quite in real life.

@justincarothers is there any way that we can add more color to the cash $5 chip? I mean, the the T1K is on fire! I know we don't want to reuse exact colors, but is there a way to maybe add orange to the $5 chip?
I am already tinkering with it, trying to come up with something a little splashier
