My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (20 Viewers)

Finally!

Have QQT8 and see a K97 flop, get it in against AQT9 and we go twice

My 8 proves key as I make the straight on both boards to scoop

So a summary of the bigger spots of my session

2/5/10 PLO run it twice, lose both as 2:1 dog

2/5/10 run it twice, lose both as slight favorite

1/2 PLO can only run it once, guy calls off his stack as an almost 4:1 dog and I lose

2/5/10 PLO run it twice as a reasonable favorite and win both

So was on my way to a -2k session but was able to make that -800 in the end

Hey Anthony, I went through this whole thread and love seeing your results. Do you have your final results for July? You posted a snapshot around 7/25 but looks like you played after that. Hope you ended up great over the month. Congrats on your success and good luck with your venture!

July went sort of like this

Omg. What kind of donk goes in for stacks with AQT9 on a K97 flop? Is this the pretty standard for the players at this cardroom?

A player who has been drinking a lot of Yuengling lol.

I mean, I had the guy in the 1/2 check-call off his stack on the turn (which didn't improve his hand) chasing the idiot end of a straight DRAW when a higher straight was possible already, there are plenty of fish in these games

July was my 2nd best month ever, only behind December. I don't provide specific numbers though.

All the beats in this thread are tilting me... its like i don't even want to open the thread any more.

Lol. August has been rough. I'm up, but only a little as we approach the halfway mark.

The biggest hurts have been at the Monday game at Luckys. So many 4-figure pots where I was a 70% or 80% favorite and my opponents just binked perfect rivers over and over

Still, not going to let it get me down. As long as I'm making good decisions I have to accept I can't control the luck factor

Do u play at the palm beach Kennel club? There was a great plo game That ran daily when I was down there.

I'm in Tampa with PLO running every day of the week, not much reason to travel to other locations, especially ones almost a 4 hr drive from home

How is PBKC? I remember hearing that the biggest game they spread was 5/10 with a $300 max which seemed really dumb imo. Not a PLO guy if you couldn’t tell by my last post lol, but when I play Holdem’ I just go to the HR property’s and skip PBKC bc I figured the room was meh.

When I was there, it was a 10/25 game.

Left the 2/5/10 game a bit ago. Fishes left, replaced by stronger players and I'm just running like dogshit all week, had been folding for hours, down $400

In the 1/2 PLO and it's slightly better but not by much. Going to play another 30 minutes, then bounce so I'm still awake to drive

No bueno, lost $500 on the day. Not a terrible outcome, but have not had a single winning session this past week.

Tonight will be back at it, off Sunday and then back at Luckys Monday

Brush it off, you'll come back in the positive next time.

Yup, just gotta approach tonights session as independent of the previous week, rather than "I have lost X and I need to make that back"

Seriously though, I didn't realize how many dueces are in the deck until last night. Felt like 90% of the hands I was dealt started with a duece

Was feeling too zonked after supper yesterday to head in, went to sleep 7pm, woke up at midnight, next on the PLO list for a seat

Just saw this hand

CO is $10 rock, button pots to $35, gets repotted to $120, another player calls. Button Raiser calls

Flop K33 rainbow

Reraiser gets it in with AA94 snd gets picked off by the button who holds

:qd::ts::5c::3c:

Lol, good game
