New Casinos / New Chips Thread (3 Viewers)

Horseshoe Black Hawk.

$25 chip has 5 spots, 2 colors.

The 5V chips have bilateral symmetry (aka mirror symmetry) but do not have rotational symmetry.

As such, I do not approve.

Poker chip spots should have rotational symmetry.

They’ve taken that off-center design to a new level.
An off-center design can look great when done well. Alas…

Also .25¢

..... so, four to a penny?
This is not the first casino to do that! Can’t remember the last one.

Also, awesome yellow casino fracs. Outstanding!!!

I’ll be in Durango, CO in two days. Seriously considering a re-route. Rack’ em up!!!

got a live pic? are these new to play? chipguide says they are obsolete
Yep, used for drop chip change in the $40 max buy-in ultra-degen 1/2NL games. One makes it into the pot just about every hand, I have a barrel or two sitting in a box somewhere around here. (edit: not new, most have some sort of typical RHC edge damage)

Love the $20. Retro AF

I wonder if instead they're designed for idiots, i.e. the designers know what they're doing and want to make sure that nobody ever mistakes it for a $25 chip.
Well if that's the case, then this is why we can't have nice things.

Also, that's another reason why the Cali $20 chip is vastly superior to the $25 chip.
