New public hybrid mold from Tina 39mm (1 Viewer)

$1026 - 2700 43mm Web mold hybrids (0.38 each)
$ 158 - label fee
$ 250 - estimated shipping (10c per chip)
$ ? - anything else?

$1434 - Total - $0.531 per chip.

Seem reasonable?

Also @elemeno you are not comparing apples to apples there. The prices in Sean's post are before shipping from China. When you buy cards mold at 40 cents in a group buy, that is after shipping from China.

Question for any of you that have recently ordered Tina chips and had them direct shipped, about what did you pay for the shipping? Around 10 cents a chip? More? What size was your order? I'm thinking about ordering 2500-3000 chips in the 43mm size.

2000 chips is about $240

3000 chips is about $295

but that is based on 39mm chips. Shipping goes by weight. I would imagine you would be fairly close at $270- $300

Thank you Justin. I'll budget for $300 until I get the exact amount from Tina. Makes sense that 2700 43mm might weigh more than 3000 39mm.

Absolutely. A large GB will typically employ shipping by boat, which if I recall from my own GB a couple years ago, was around 4-5 cents per chip. Even after reshipping, you come out ahead on cost. But you have a much longer wait time than if you employ direct shipping.

Maybe some custom fees depending on how it's filed for shipping/ import.

I’m guessing all hybrids have a label fee? Is it $x per denomination/different label or ~$158 flat?

Wow that’s way better than cards mold at $0.40 + reshipping. Hats off to you if you sell these without a profit. Maybe you’re the Robin Hood of Chinese ceramics….or perhaps the benevolent king.

I am the Anarchist of the PCF not Robin Hood. I have done a group buy before. It was for the cards mold which is one of the reason why I am KING OF THE CARDS MOLD. I did over 100,000 chips in total. Now Justin and other can do it. I don't have the time or desire to do another one.

I prefer doing it direct because I have only custom designs. If many folks are getting the same design they can spread the label design cost out.

So I will go only direct and maybe a small group buy with PCF friends.

Yes. That’s what it means. If you get one set it’s $158. If you get two sets it’s $158. Three sets $316, etc

I purchased direct 2385 chips (80 of those were 43mm, the rest 39mm) December 2022 and was charged:

$248 shipping
$59.63 taxes
$158 label fee

Chip cost rounded was about 52¢ per chip.

Seems pretty consistent.

About 40 usd for 1500 chips limit

I used local China reshipper services

So a Set of 1,000 39mm will cost about

Chips $320
Label $158
Shipping $40

So about 52c each, not bad if doing solo

But if say doing a GP for 3 person x 1000 chip each

Chips $320
Label $52.67
Shipping $26.67

Cost will reduce to 40c per chip
