Fun short handed game tonight

Urb2y9k.jpg
Short handed, but certainly not short stacked!

FIRST GAME BACK OUR CREW PLAYED IN OVER A YEAR!!! 10 players. Had everything set up for 9 players. Sent out a reminder text to all with address and game time. Not knowing I sent a text to a different Rick than the Rick from our group. So when Rick (#2) shows up with a nice bean dip in hand.....I'm wondering how cool my neighbor just drops by with a bean dip and we happen to be playing cards with 9 people. NICE!!!! more food for all!! Then he tells me about the text I sent him for the game tonight. 9 players now becomes 10 player!! Let's do this!!! So what does Rick (#2) decided to do....Not only win for the night he takes down High Hand of the Night!!! It was great getting together...lots of fun...played from 5pm to 2:30am. Lisa was the big winner. In for $100 out for over $600!!!! I got some good hands early that helped me pull out a win. In for $100 out for $252. It's now 4am and I'm getting ready to call it a day.
One sad thing about tonight was we were missing a very important part of this group. We lost Paul (I called him dad) late last year. We played this game in honor of him. We miss you Paul and we know you were looking down with a big smile on your face!!!

Too cool. Love those Outposts!

are... are those stacks of 28? :whistling:

awesome set of hs. you are the maestro.
I think 30.. or might be 31 idk. I usually organize in barrels but was very swingy early on in the night so decided to just build a wall.

Notable early hand 50¢/50¢ NLHE - I flopped the wheel with A2. 3 way all in on flop. One with JJ other 88. Runner straight to the 8 for ~$500 pot killed my big stack but managed to rally it back.

Super excited for my 2nd live game post-quarantine and my first one “hosting” (I put hosting in quotes because I was supposed to host but the weather in NYC is 90 degrees tomorrow and our air conditioning isn’t installed yet so my buddy agreed to host. You better believe I’m still bringing my chips though - making their debut tomorrow afternoon!

Will be a $1/2 NL/PLO mix ($300 buyin) featuring the following bad boys:

My group has several players who really don't want to be on my youtube channel ha ha. I will at some point make a 'poker vlog' about my game, but there's going to be a bit of blurring and tracking going on. :)

No AC, I go with the big door open if it's been warm in the day, but if it's been hot (like LA Valley summer hot) I host out on the patio which is in the shade in the late afternoon - it's usually quite pleasant. Once in awhile it might be a hot muggy night, but in LA it's dry enough that night time is usually nice.

That set is awesome! Im probably in the minority but I think those $5s are the star of the set
In person they are way nicer than they photograph. I wouldn’t say star but they are not far off. Great compliment all around.

Great game @Donvito. It was so nice to be back. Thanks for the nice words you had about my dad. Seems like we may have a new player for the group as well.

The big stack sitting on... ~$2500 ish

Long way to go...
Aaaaand he lost the ENTIRE STACK!

I only took a little piece ($700 pot he bluffed off to me at the end), it was pretty much an equal opportunity situation. I’m up a few hundred heading into the final hour of play:

Cashed out $416 after bleeding off a couple hundred in the closing hour splashing around a little in PLO. Finished +$116 on the day but found myself pretty exhausted after a 9 hour cash session. Running the bank with so many rebuys was tough after being out of practice for 14+ months. In the end we had ~$7000 on the table playing 8 handed which was one of the deepest we’ve played. People clearly ready for some 4-card gambling!
