Two nights ago I hosted another James Bond-themed charity fundraiser.

View attachment 1084515

The lovely lady in the shawl is @Pippa 's better half Mara, who made it to the final blackjack table. Custom ceramics (OWPS) in play. To the far left is LPN Adam (who won the tournament at the last party), and to the far right is Darrell (husband of my RN friend Jane, who won the tournament two parties ago). Unfortunately, Mara didn't have as much luck at this table as when she hosts Tournament NLHE at home, and the eventual winner was RPN and dedicated Bond fan Chad (not pictured). Just over $2600 raised this evening, which is not bad for a night's work! Proceeds to go to local charity, decision to be made between community hospital foundation or women's crisis services.
Thanks my friend
Was a very excited night

We will waiting for the next event @allforcharity

This weekend was the first regular Zombie Poker Dinner Club event (as Ladies Night was in January). It was also the last regular event for one of our members, as she is moving back to Canada. Thus, easy theme night.

Feature Main: Maple Syrup Fried Chicken
Sides: scalloped potatoes, pita and hummus, salad, smoked chicken wings, chips and dip, crackers with cheese and meat, guac, peanuts, and a full dessert table (that I failed to photo but features peanut butter fudge, chocolate chip cookies, king cake, and some sort of chocolate mess).

Featured Drink: Caesar (of course!)
This jar is full of an awesome home-made mix - just add vodka, celery salt, celery, and maple bacon! We also had several pickled items.

My run good, not as good. But a fun night regardless.

Had a fun time last night at our February Heartbreaker league tournament. Broke our all-time record turnout by one with 15 in attendance!!! We attempted to extend our rebuys to 2 hours instead of 1 and it did add a lot to the prize pool. 9 rebuys total for this tournament which is also a record for our group. I did make the final table but I ended up with a 7th place finish. Congrats to @YeaIKno on making the final table and edging me out with a 6th place finish and to @TravNasty on his second place finish for the evening!!!

Another great tournament! Thanks for sacrificing your chips to me!

Got a chance to play at @Trihonda 's Fat Tire poker room last night. What a great game and host! By far the best ran home game I have ever attended, skilled players, good chips, good table and fast play. Thanks again for the invite!

I also got to meet two great guys @HanShot1st and @BukNaked36 who were also in attendance. In for $60, ran down to around $30 within the first hour before doubling up on a straight. Ran the stack up over $200 at one point before cashing out at around $160.

@HanShot1st sat to my right and was crushing it last night, not sure where he cashed out but was up over $400 at one point.

I'm digging these chips. What blanks where used for these?

A handful of highlights from the game last night. Biggest crowd since returning from COVID shutdown with seven players. Some pretty splashy play care of one semi-regular who usually has his brother in the crosshairs, and was clearly ready with money for multiple re-buys in hand. California Club tributes in play for the standard nickel/dime blinds game.

An early and fairly big chopped pot.

My aces cracked by Mr. Splashy when his club flush arrived on the river. (I wound up adding on not too long after this one.

And the penultimate hand of the night with just about zero f's being given at this point! :ROFLMAO:

Seven players, multiple re-buys and add-ons, four of us left down to the felt. In for $20 and out for $0, but still a really fun night.

Oh, the beer. Can't forget the beer!

@bernielomax is correct. CPC circle square mold.

If interested in the design thread, there’s a link in my signature to the FT blog, where I list all the build threads, table, chips, etc.

Base colors are Canary, DG Peacock, Ret Red, Bright White, and Charcoal

like all fun sets, these followed a theme, all based on the Fat Tire sign. It crossed into the bicycle theme (I’m a huge cyclist), and the colors closely mirror the colors found in the iconic Fat Tire neon…

Next time you’re out in a pub, and see a FT Neon sign, you’ll be “oh cool, there’s a poker chip set designed around those colors”. Lol.

First game of 2023. On tour to my mate’s house as the boss was having her friends over and I got booted out  :ROFLMAO:

Kept winning fracs and f*** all else. Finished a measly £20 up.

What cards are those? They look like Belgian Copag but the one's I have don't have the cream colored center on the low cards and aces.

One does not simply go back to Canada without the Zombies theming the daylights out of the event.

Card capper, dealer buttons, and cut cards ready to go...

5 1/2 hours of Canadian artists put together for the background music

Canadian maple syrup fried chicken sandwiches with Canadian Bacon on the menu (no photo because its still 2 days before the game).

...and if the bounty markers arrive in time, the bounties will be themed as well.
Thanks for posting that pic! Makes me happy to see one of my chips in the wild!
