This past Saturday was our final event, the Zombie Poker Classic! We ended up with 19 players after 2 cancels.

This was our 15th year and we maintain a tradition of prime rib main. This year, it was salted and put in the fridge for 2 days, then sous vide for 24 hours, and then followed with a 1-1/2 hour smoke. It was wonderful! Sides included: mac and cheese, baked potatoes (with all the fixings), spicy Brussel sprouts, corn pudding, corn bread, rice with broccoli, tamales, cheese/meat/crackers, chip and dip

Desserts included chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cake cookies, chocolate peanut butter cake cookies, brownies, and home-made Boston crème pie!View attachment 1227805

With 19, we started at 3 tables; as a freeze-out, we went down to 2 once we lost our first player.

Once there were 3 players out, the cash game ($0.25/$0.25) started. It built up over time to 2 tables and halted when we got to the final 3 players in the main event. Mostly NLHE was played in the cash game, but Omaha did make an appearance (and was new to several players). One weird NL hand had a couple people to the flop of 2K2, with betting down to 2 players. The turn was another K. The river was another 2. I wasn't in the hand, but expected either this to be flush over flush (with one having a K) or them to both have the K thinking the other does not. Instead, one player had the case 2!

As chemo is doing it's job and I'm low on hair, I dressed up as Kublai (our zombie) in "girl" mode with a wig! I didn't know when I ordered the wig it would match my Dammit Doll! LOL

Congratulations to Ben with his win and earning both the bracelet and Player of the Year... by ONE POINT!

I would follow a food blog of you guys. You know how to put on a spread.

What software do you use for the tournament clock?

We use Tournament Director. I try to make cool graphics for each tournament for our clock. I always hate when casinos use the most boring and outdated looking software for their TD screen. I have found an easier way to make things look cool without having to edit code in TD.

I basically made a background template that has our logo and tournament title and I just change that each time. Then I can keep the cells with moving parts the same each time. I just load a new bg image into TD for each tournament.

Kinda like this...

I just edit the photos mostly on my phone and each part of the photo is a layer. I can keep the fonts in place and swap out the BG image each time. Then if I want I can edit the font or our logo or anything else I want to add. And it looks pretty different each time to most players that don't realize I am just swapping the backgrounds each time.

That's fantastic. I love how TD is open to that kind of customization!

Looks great! Any reason you haven't ditched the '$' since you're playing a tournament and it doesn't apply (pet peeve of mine).

That may be the greatest reason to spend the money on TD.

I appreciate you bringing that to my attention. I honestly never noticed that. And I think that I will never look at it the same. :ROFLMAO: It must have came that way from the standard settings of TD maybe. I will attempt to get rid of them from now until eternity for all future tournaments!

Do you run tournament director on a laptop or tablet? And how do you display it on the TV?

Yes, it is a PC based app. I run it on my laptop and connect it to my TV with a hdmi cable. We actually use a hdmi splitter so we can connect to multiple displays depending on who is hosting and how many TV's they have available. You could also wirelessly connect if you have a smart TV.

Cool, thanks for the info

Couldn't find a more appropriate place for my 4000th post than in my favorite PCF thread. Poker with friends and enjoying some run good with my new customs can't be topped by much.

F A N F U C K I N G-TASTIC!!!

Played for about an hour or so. Was able to run it up a bit after Luke got knocked out and then it was me against Bobby. Ended up having some good hands but I wasn’t able to take it down. Bobby took it down for the W this time. Both of them enjoyed playing with the new chips and I definitely did too! They just don’t make them like they used to!

Stunning lineup. Absolutely LOVE these chips. Hope I get to play a game with them sometime. Hard to pick out a favorite, but that $5 is pure fire!!! And the $1 too! OK, they're all fire!!!

Just finished our fortnightly cash game. 17 players to start.

NLHE, 50c/50c (but probably plays closer to a $1/$2 game).

Was tough going at the start but managed to book a good win with my new card protector. BA-CAWK!

One of the boys ran like the Sun God Ra himself and turned $200 into $1400!
