Played my first ever limit game last night with chips I recently picked up from @EastCoastCali (thanks again!). I absolutely loved limit but some of my guys enjoy shoving in their entire stacks at will so they weren't huge fans. They still found a way to make it crazy by maxing out each betting round without looking at their cards until the river. Would've been nice if they had done that on the hand where I hit quad aces . Still a great night of poker. In for $50 out for $130

Limit night for us too!

Dealer's choice with $25 buyin, 25c ante, and 50c/$1 bets.

I'll follow up with how it goes. Some have played this way but also have some action hounds.

Might pick your brain later about what works and what doesn't. Would really like to get my guys on board with mixing in limit more often.

Lol. Me, too. That game is how I learned to drive stick as a teenager.

Most of the garage is pinball but I couldn’t pass on a cheap Hard Drivin, and I have a Galaga mame as well (plays a couple hundred retro games).

Place gets better and better. Slushy / Soda machine also. Very cool.

A short New Year's and Epiphany vacation from expatriation back to Athens, means, at least, a game with my (by now, beloved) local sharks.

It's a .50/1E game, with buy-ins limited to 100BBs max, or half the big stack. This is to contain the amount of money on the table, since they usually play 1/2E among them, or even 2/5E which is the minimum table stakes in Athens' only casino:rolleyes:, clearly not addressed to any kind of "normal" Greek public, and clearly the reason of its assured eventual demise.

Two orbits of NLHE, one orbit dealer's choice between Pineapple and Cuckoo [three hole cards, one discarded upon seeing the flop, but the remaining two cards being mandatory to use], the latter being a personal invention of mine to avoid the dreadful [among socially related people] PLO.

In for 260E, out for 265E.

The ultimate tool of our happiness, very fast, cheap (80E cost, years ago) reliable and, interestingly, unanimously accepted by the sharks (ie instead of themselves shuffling).

In play, the venerable Athenian Owls V1

Edit: I forgot to mention that the originally "controversial" Non-Denominated Top Value chips, were vindicated as 50E chips.
First of all, they see a lot more felt time than if used as 100s.
Second and most important, they 're very handy at those stakes and with this crew, where everybody buys-in and re=buys using 50E bills. Orange-colored bills.:)

Good stuff! I definitely punted a bunch back, high point I was up around $70 from a $25 buyin, it was getting awkward how lucky I was getting. No one losing mortgage payments but I still want to be a good host, lots of silly calls when I should be outta there. Definitely don't mind paying friends off and giving action but need to make sure I can turn off the goofiness when I play in more serious games.

Great group for this, they started out skeptical of limit but grew to love Scarney, Omaha, Chicago stud high, and 5 card draw. Pictured below is 7cardNoPeeky.

$25 buyin, .25 ante, .50/$1 bets
In for $25
Out for $37

Very nice! I'm looking forward to getting my Las Vegas Knights limit set into play one of these days. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Did everyone like the chips?

Ran my first game on Friday! It was an unraked $1/$1 NLHE cash. Full table, 8 guys. Put the room together thanks to the advice and vendors on PCF. As cool as chips and tables are, once it's all said and done, I think the money best spent was on the chairs. The game lasted close to 5 hours and everyone seemed comfortable.

But I saw two cash sets in play :ninja::p
  Our tournaments are turbo small stack. That’s how we get three in per event plus cash games in between. I can make any set work with our format. Now that the 20th Century set is playable I wanted to get that into action.

PLO tourney at my place last night. Bubbled that but made it back in the cash game afterwards View attachment 1442819View attachment 1442820View attachment 1442821View attachment 1442822
Great time last night at @JMC9389 game and playing with fellow PCF'ers @Phish1321 @theewpice @Nuhockey @randy2310
I was 1st out in the PLO Tourney but made up for it in the cash game. Final hand of the night...Super Hold-Em....flopped nut flush held up against 2 all ins for a big win.

Had a couple cancellations, but also had a couple late participants, but got it to 14, and again, I got knocked the fuck out first. I effing suck right now and something is wrong with my tourney game. Truly suck right now…

I still had a ball! I love this hosting stuff.

Got 14 players in the door, and down to 1 table now but it’s been great. 20K stacks, with 1 rebuy included per player. 20min blinds…

Dogs rolling….what a hit! Everyone loved em!
