It'd be OK if it was a Butler jersey though, since he was a Giant first... right?
That's pretty good knowledge Nick but no, that pissed me off when he went to LAD & said "I've always wanted to be a Dodger" lol. (And I dont give a $#!% if he was born there either @BarrieJ3!!) I actually ran into Brett all the time in line at the Wells Fargo Foster City during the late '80's. Nice guy.

I also would see Jeffrey Leonard all the time driving his "Hackman" plated Mercedes in FC. He waved or pointed at me EVERYTIME. Super friendly & always one of my favorite Giants.

My first time hosting a multi table tourney! Thanks to @Mushmanchuman
for coming and being nice enough to bring his hot dog roller and even deal full time after busting! Winner took $600!

Great eye! It was something I grew up with and where our roots in gambling and playing cards are. :) I chose symbols from months that have some significance to our family (eg birthdays, etc).
Cool. My parents were always strict that kids couldn’t play… and then when I was old enough to be included I wasnt that interested in learning. But I hear go-stop is a lot of fun so I should learn one of these days.

Not a card dead night for me, but rather a night of suck outs, counterfeits and too many outs syndrome... going against me. Who has that rack of reds on the table anyway...

In $500
Out $26

Similar but worse for me. I was out $900 in two hours, and left b/c I was too tilted to grind things back to even. The 1, 2, 3 and 4-outers just kept coming after getting it in good against fish. Bleh

There are less gambly games nowadays that I don’t think were as popular 20 years ago. :) Go stop is still in the rotation occasionally.

I literally experienced this recently, though I did not get as deep as $900, but I was out $600 within a short time, as 2-3 outers were crushing my made hands. Sometimes, even if I think I am able to grind back, it’s better to cut and run. Somedays, the deck is stacked against ya.

I feel your pain and tilt

Harrah's $500s were the final piece to my tournament set, so let's get them in play! I'm so bad about getting shots during play. So here's a starting stack pic, and a couple cleaning up and putting away pics.

Family game with 6 players. I was totally card dead. Did not win a single hand except for one bluff the first two hours. Eventually won two hands at showdown and still ended up third. Lots of disciplined folds to conserve chips.

@Boother36 bought some Desert Palms BCC chips from @TheChipRoom back around 2009ish for like $1 each, and I thought he was certifiably crazy to spend that kind of money on poker chips. Jim at the Chiproom was local to us back then and that eventually got me started chipping as well. Boother has been hosting a New Year’s Day game for quite some time now and I don’t think I’ve ever missed one. He is an excellent host and was always ahead of the curve with his basement remodel, great table and beautiful chips. Always a great spread of food, and we both have a thing for cheap beer like Hamm’s or High Life, so it’s always a great time. This year was no exception! There were quite a few pcf players in attendance, plus a few guys I’ve been friends with for 40 or even gasp 50 years!
