Elijah small batch tonight. Put in a request for some Barrel Proof at the new store that opened up today

@detroitdad likely has the most experience here. :) I don't think I've had the C920 yet. The B520 is still on shelves around here.

I've had both recently. The B520 is easily my favorite batch. Both are good. Hell, I haven't had a Barrel Proof EJ that I didn't like. I think that the B520 is more balanced between flavor and spice.

I drink the 520 neat. The 920 needed one ice cube for 5 minutes to open it up a bit.

Again, just my thoughts.

Last month my local shell gas station/liqour store had 5 bottles on the shelf for 65 bucks each. I only bought one bottle because I has just spent two hundred on scotch.

I am in Oregon. We LOVE our OLCC allocations. It keeps things fair, priced fairly, and most the stores only let you buy ONE per visit.

I get to Gresham a few times/year to visit family. I'll need to research which stores are best to check. @v1pe ? :)
Go on the OLCC site. Search for liquor. Although it is not always accurate (and people line up at 10am to buy this stuff) sometimes it will point you in the right direction. That is how I got my bottle of EH Taylor at a liquor store 35 miles away!

Hmm...I've got a day off coming up. Maybe a road trip is in order to comeback with a nice score.

This one's probably the best selection in Gresham for whiskey:

This store is larger, but in my experience the former store has a better mid/top shelf selection:

There are probably some large stores in Portland, but I don't go that direction if I can help it. Unfortunately in the Portland/Gresham area there are probably a lot of folks who enjoy the fancy stuff and it's not always on the shelf.

@Big Jilm is right, http://oregonliquorsearch.com/home.jsp is a good bet.

I'm finding that Hillsboro stores seem to have a good inventory, online anyways. I'm off next Wednesday. Maybe a road trip to Hillsboro is in order.

If I can pull off enough I'll try to hook you up. I also have a large bourbon group that I hang out with weekly hounding me for bottles lol.
