Be careful of the 1792 Full Proof store pick. Every one I tried was worse than the standard 1792 Full Proof.

I heard pack it tight and throw some rice-a-roni in the box. Declare it as olive oil or something. Just what I heard. USPS or UPS should work just fine.

Add some dried pasta or something that will camouflage the liquid sound. Do not mention it is liquid of any sort...they might ask to inspect and if you refuse they will decline to ship it.

IMO, that is correct. I would not use USPS. There's reasons for that I don't want to say publicly. Yes, pack with a lot of protection for the bottle and make sure the cork cannot pop out using saran wrap or something similar. Tic Tac or something similar to damp the liquid sound.

I vacuum seal the bottle just in case. If the bottle or cork crack or leak, you can still save the whiskey. Amazon also has inflatable bottle shippers. I say that I'm shipping expensive balsamic vinegar.

Depending on the person at the counter you risk having it inspected...glass or liquid from what I understand are always supposed to be inspected if disclosed (for FedEx and UPS). That's why I say camouflage the liquid sound and pack it well.

The 9 is fantastic, I'm sure the 14 is insanely good. Pappy 15 is like a 90 proof 15 year wheated. Old fitz 14 is 100 proof wheated. I'd snap buy it for that price.

Show your face a lot. It goes a surprisingly long way. Also find a group or friend in your area that hunts a lot to share tips with. 90 percent of the bottles I get are from tips from 1 person who has too much time

My regular store fucked me. I’m already planning on switching stores for my purchases.

Today’s choice. Always been a fan of the wheated voyages, not sure if I just like it more because of the story. But this is a store pick and will be easier to justify drinking over 15 or 19 but will break those out this weekend to do a “cruise” with (flight doesn’t seem apropos).
