The cask strength is so good!

Its been *really* nice outside in Jersey the past week, and I had my neighbor over the other night for a nice fire and drinks on the deck. He doesn't drink much anymore, but we had a long discussion on scotchs. Today he dropped these off:

I've had most of Balvenie's offerings (their Doublewood is my favorite "everyday" scotch) but never had either of these. Enjoying the Madeira this evening, very interesting & tasty. Saving the portwood for another time.

Disregard....trying to be funny, but realizing that I am not at the moment. Carry on!

Haha...right?!? I may have just talked myself into buying some more...How does it go...”It’s easier to ask for forgiveness then ask for permission?” ;):D
I have permission to buy as many bottles as I can find of certain bourbons (the few that my wife loves), so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Can't find Noah's Mill or Rowan's Creek in these parts. They should be delivered in a week or so!

Wow. They are both easy to find here. Both are delicious but Noah's Mill is my favorite bourbon of the 25 or so bottles that I have open right now. Worth the money. I have been building back stock because I feared that it might become rare. I guess I need to buy up all that I can find. :)

How was whiskey fest?!?! Gotta hear of the pst since it is all canceled in 2020.

I've never seen Noah's Mill in the wild. Or Rowan.

My big local liquor store gets deliveries on Wednesday usually. The only whiskey they got in today was flavored Bird Dog whiskey. The good bourbon is getting a little thin...and the mediocre stuff from all the new distillers isn't moving at all. And there's a bunch of it.

My buddies picked me up a bottle of EH Taylor and EC barrel proof B520.
Only thing is they live in CO and need to ship it to me...

Any advice/ suggestions oh cheapest but safest way?

My dad & I went 3 years ago in NYC, we had a blast. If you're new(ish) to the hobby, it's a really great way to try a bunch of offerings. The drawback - it's absolutely fucking packed. A lot of my enjoyment of a nice bourbon/whisky/scotch includes being able to chill by myself in peace or hang with a few friends - it certainly isn't the place to do that, lol.
