Very tasty, nice recommendation @Klobberer

I really like the nose on this one. A little brighter and less woody then the Woodford double oaked. Wouldn't say better, just different. Will be adding to the rotation

1920 is one of the best shelf whiskeys out there. Mixing 1910 and 1920 50/50 = 1915 which is also fantastic.

My favorite shelf bottles in order:

Elijah Craig barrel proof (I try to buy 4 of each batch)

Knobb creek 14+ year old store picks (I have nearly 20 stocked up, they aren't releasing these anymore so if you find any stock up, the value here is insane)

4 roses barrel strength picks

Belle Meade cask strength

1920

Rare breed/Russels single barrel

I'd be perfectly fine drinking from this list if I couldn't find another allocated bottle in my life. Unfortunately gts is still the best bourbon I've ever tried. Wild turkey 17 bib and eh taylor barrel proof are up there as well.

When are you hosting a meet up sir?

Celebrating divided government tonight and drinking a regular Russel Reserve bourbon. I have the single barrel as well, but I can't ALWAYS drink the great stuff.

E.H. Taylor for me and the wife, with some pumpkin chocolate bread.

She loves Taylor...which gives me permission to buy every bottle I can find. :)
My wife loves a guy named Patron. I can stock up on that willy nilly. The best margarita mixer on the planet is Lefty O'Douls. Trust me on that.

Made a store run for some Tom and Jerry's ingredients and picked this up on a whim.

Really tasty stuff. Has that scotch/Irish malt taste but also some of the bourbon/oak characteristics. Aged in Bourbon casks and finished in fresh oak.

TY. Saw it for $150 and thought that was high and there was a reason it was still on the shelf.
