I have rules: I generally don’t buy Bourbon cheaper than $25. I’ll make mixed drinks with that stuff: Early Times BiB, Knob Creek 9yr, Old Forester 100.
What are you using for your whiskey sours??I’ll make cocktails with Bourbons in the $25 to $50ish range. Four Roses single barrel falls into the top end of that.
Now, anything $50 and over, I only drink neat. Even barrel strength. I’ll sometimes add a few drops of water, but never ice.
These are my “rules” for me. You can drink yours however you want. I’ll never judge
Buillet Barrel Strength. We finished the old bottle to make room for the new one. Lol.I have rules: I generally don’t buy Bourbon cheaper than $25. I’ll make mixed drinks with that stuff: Early Times BiB, Knob Creek 9yr, Old Forester 100.

I bottle chug every bottle the minute I get home! 4-5 shots on a Saturday morning sometimes. It’s my personal “rule”...2oz in the infinity, then wait a week (or at least try to).
I wasn't that impressed with their bourbon at $180. The rye at $300 makes it hard considering the price.
