Backstock. I can’t wait to try this Fred Noe Single Barrel Select. I’m guessing it’s going to taste like Cracker Jacks, unless he went a totally different direction than Booker’s. But it will have to wait until I kill my open KCSB Select.

I can up here. I’m looking for a couple bottles of Old Ezra 7yr, and it looks like they are all over Portland area. :)

Didn't think about checking the Total Wine in Vancouver...

I'll keep an eye out for Old Ezra 7.

(Available) Old Forester Bourbons Ranked:

1920 - So good. One of the best values I can think of. Complex and 115 proof, so maybe not for everyone.

1897 - Cherry bomb. Cherry cola.

1910 - I didn’t like it at first. But now I love it. Toasted oak. Sweet. Oatmeal cookie with vanilla frosting.

100 proof - Great value. Excellent “good” bourbon for mixed drinks.

Statesman - More spice and cinnamon than the rest.

1870 - Good but not great.

86 proof - Why, when you can get the 100 proof for a couple bucks more?

You don’t take note of the finish? Often that’s the deciding factor for me.
Yeah I normally try to, I say aftertaste or finish. The 101 has a fantastic finish. I think it’s my budget bourbon pick for sure

Here's the fancy shelf at "Handy Spot Liquor" in my town.

Imagine the most you would pay for any of these bottles, then add at least 20-40%. They are short some Blanton's and an EHT rye (and Van Winkle Rye) since the last time I went in, so people are negotiating with them and buying stuff. But even mildly desirable things like EC Barrel Proof and Booker's they don't post a price and add 10-30% to retail when you check out, but will lower it for you if you negotiate or buy more.

Bye Felicia. Nickel and dime somebody else.

Never had either. No better time than the present! The guy that helped me GUSHED over Wilderness Trail. Said he can't keep it on the shelf. He also said he sees about 6 cases a year of Weller. :(

I probably agree with about 95% of this. I'd rank the Statesman a little higher. I don't even mind sipping the 100 proof.

I also agree about the 1910. I didn't like it my first go around.

Bad news: Flaviar sent me the wrong bottle. I ordered single barrel Bourbon and they sent single barrel rye.

Good news: I think that I am really going to like it...and maybe they will send me the correct bottle and let me keep this one. :)

I love that rye! It’s gonna definitely be a happy mistake

Good luck reading this. Lol.

I’m 99% on B. But I’m probably way off on the rest. Thanks for sending these, @Big Jilm. It was a lot of fun.

I really can’t place A. I know what it’s not, but no idea of what it is.

I’m thinking that C might be Old Fitzgerald now. I have no idea if you have that. But it does feel older...12yrs or older.

Are you ready for hints?!!

A is a wheater
B - YOU NAILED (almost) - It was Stagg Jr Batch 14
C was your curveball. Hint: not a bourbon, not from America
D is 12 years old and from the Barton Distillery
