I will keep rolling out hints until you ask for the key, to give you a better chance to guess :)

A is from Heaven Hill
C was $90
D is 96.6 proof
D. Is 1792 12yr. That’s a fantastic bottle. I doubt that I can find one for retail. Lol.

A. Really threw me off. I’ve had a bunch of Heaven Hill and immediately removed it from consideration ...but I don’t think I’d had a wheater from Heaven Hill other than Larceny. I just sampled my Larceny (yeah, it’s 10am LOL) and I don’t think it’s that. So I’ll guess Bernheim.

C. Maybe Japanese then. I’ve only had one Japanese whisky, and it was in an Old Fashioned at PF Chang. Lol.

Every time I took a sip from A, it was different. I kept getting a hint of grass, then it was gone. I kept wavering between 90 and 100 proof, as you can see on the sheet. Lol.

C really tasted older, 12yr+. I’m glad it wasn’t Eagle Rare 17 because I didn’t love it. Lol.

I was only way off in one price too!

Thanks again, Jim. Now I’ve gotta pick 4 to send back to you!

My wife and I HATE the Hibiki, especially for $90. That 1792 12 year is hard to find. I think your wife maybe hates the funky oak on the back end. IMO, it is very similar to BiB 1792, but with that funky oak present. Bernheim was my attempt to find an always available wheater to compete with Weller --- not even close LOL. While I have not yet opened my "best" bottles, that Stagg Jr is the best bourbon I have ever had. It only got better and better as I got down to the bottom.

Batch 14? Awesome. How does it compare to other stagg Jr. batches for you?

Yeah, we only pay MSRP here with no sales tax. It is nice, but they tax us hard in other ways
When I asked for a bottle she couldn't have been more excited to grab one for me lol.

Does anyone here negotiate prices?

So sad!

The rise in prices of whiskey here in MD is crazy like 5x the price. Now don’t get me wrong you can find some but in general very hard and it is sad that good prices are gone for a while some places either do auctions or lotteries and either way still hard to get
