Talk to me about the toasted barrel.I love the toasted barrel and EC Barrel Proof is always in my Top 5.
It’s different than regular EC. Sweeter. Some get notes of toasted marshmallow, Graham, or even chocolate...which sounds like a s’more put all together. Lol.Talk to me about the toasted barrel.
How different is it?
Was curious if it had a lot of extra oak, doesn’t sound like it.It’s different than regular EC. Sweeter. Some get notes of toasted marshmallow, Graham, or even chocolate...which sounds like a s’more put all together. Lol.
I love it, but I prefer Woodford Double Oaked over EC Toasted Barrel.

Completely different animal. I've always found regular EC 12 a very traditional bourbon profile, maybe a tad nutty. The toasted barrel has s'more-like qualities. You like campfire s'mores? You'll like the toasted barrel.Talk to me about the toasted barrel.

IMO the best double oaked on the market is Old Forester 1910.Was curious if it had a lot of extra oak, doesn’t sound like it.
Would be good around the campfire with all that flavor.
More oak in the woodford I guess. I need to try the double oak at some point.
Cheers!

I do like some oak but not to much. Would definitely try these double oaks before buying a bottle. I’m up for that!IMO the best double oaked on the market is Old Forester 1910.
what’s your flavor?I could send a sample...got anything good worth trading?
My wife bought me a barrel like that for Xmas. I put 3L of Maker's Mark in it for 2 weeks. Turned out nicely.I do like some oak but not to much. Would definitely try these double oaks before buying a bottle. I’m up for that!
Aged a Manhattan , Rittenhouse with Carpano Antica. Smooth it out and added some good oak which I liked. View attachment 655523
Not a Bookers fan, but would like to taste the Remus batch 1 versus the 2 and 4 that I already have. Hate to waste shipping costs on a single sample. I'll send 4 and you can surprise me...PM coming.
Definitely one of my favorites! C919 is 136.8 and B517 is 124.2Once again, thanks @juankay20

I keep looking. If the place I go has more than one, and no limit, I'm buying them all. I know I can sell/trade the extras to all of you very easily.I need to find me a Cigar Blend bottle.
You speak the truth. I've never seen one in a store here, ever.I keep looking. If the place I go has more than one, and no limit, I'm buying them all. I know I can sell/trade the extras to all of you very easily.
