I can once I get started on it. Still trying to find someone who can powder coat the small parts.

Show them you aren’t a flipper. Open the bottle and offer a sample.

I just delivered samples to my favorite store the other day—Stagg Jr for the young lady that has held some bottles for me, and Alberta Premium Cask Strength Rye for the rye drinker.

Get to know the store owner. Build a relationship. Lol.

Hell I see people flipping open bottles on Facebook groups now!

I’ve purchase bottles from people on here that I told them they could open and sample before shipping to me. I open all my bottles anyways so don’t mind sharing

OK, without reading through 7000 posts, what is the best whisky that's a reasonable price? I don't want to spend a lot, so something I could find at a NH liquor store. Ideally one that can be mixed with something so feel free to recommend the mixer as well :)

Old Forester 86 or Old Forester 100
Buffalo Trace
Knob Creek

All should be $25 - $30 and I would feel fine drinking neat, on the rocks or mixed.

Mix with ginger beer for a Kentucky Mule, if you like that. Or make whiskey sours.

Old Fashioned is easy. Just add Angostura bitters and simple syrup.

What could possibly be more informative and entertaining than reading 7000 posts about other people's thoughts on whiskey? What!

Along with all the previous suggestions, I'll throw out 1792 Small Batch and Maker's Mark on the list for good sipping mixers, either should be a hair under $30 a bottle. My favorite super cheap mixer is Evan Williams, it's like $25 for a handle. Wouldn't sip that one until the end of the night though lol.

I’m usually a single malt scotch guy myself, especially the fruitier speyside types like Glenfiddich. I gotta say though, I recently tried Jameson’s black barrel and it’s absolutely fantastic. My new favorite Irish whiskey.

I'd also consider evan willams BiB (~$18) and old grand dad 114 (~$30)
