Love the man pours @Highli99 but in all seriousness you're missing out on some of the bourbon experience - the nose! Fill that glass half-way and refill it twice as often. When it's filled to the top like that, the vapors are just getting lost out the top - pouring half the glass will let the empty part of the glass capture them a bit and direct them right into your nose as you sip.

You could try to "Ranger Shot" it...definitely get some nose then.

I only have the Double Rye. It is good, but I have tried some great ryes recently that will hopefully be my staples for rye whiskey. Lets just say it will be my go to for Old Fashioneds until it is gone.

I’ve been trying to like EH Taylor Single Barrel, but I’ve come back to it several times now and I’m not feeling it. It’s not bad, but I don’t find it particularly interesting. Maybe I got a bad barrel. But at that price point I’d rather get Stagg Jr, OF 1920, or Willett FE rye.

Surprisingly flavorful for a young, craft whiskey. Very sweet. Fat guy whiskey.
