Blanton's is mash bill #2, not wheated.
Ahh gotcha. I like Blantons at max maybe $80. But I don’t like it above that. But I know it’s secondary is more. I bought a gold for $180 before and definitely did not think it was worth $180.Blanton's is mash bill #2, not wheated.
I’m sure someone on here can get you a blantons
Just opened the Willett. Best Rye I've ever had (not saying much). But this is so good! Drinking it neat. This happened today.View attachment 669349

My ranking:
BT, just because... so good. $25/bottle is a steal... A STEAL
Willet
Belle Meade... first time trying it so will put it in the middle.
Crown... surprisingly good
Peerless... this is not worth $100/bottle in my opinion... not even close. This should be $40/max. Good heat, lack of flavors. Big disappointment, unimpressed. I wanted the wow factor, but nah.
*raises hand*
I lucked out on the willet. I walked into a store and they just had it on the shelf. I doubt I’ll see another.I can get you a Blanton's -- Can you get me a Willett Rye?
Oh btw, the Blanton's will be $59.95

Well then let me send you a sample pm meWe just straight up do not have it in my state - ever. Bummer!
Second pour. Still digging it. Can't find it here in Indy. My daughter's boyfriend bought it for me in Louisville. He's a keeper in my book (now).yeah I bought it to try expecting not to like it but the herbal floral notes and the easy palette make it pretty yummy.
I've seen a bunch of different labels on the Peerless rye. Mine says "Barrel Proof" up top, others say "Small Batch" but those also seem to be higher proof. Are they different?
How is this one and is it worth hunting down? I haven't seen it in NJ yet, but it's available not too far away in NY
Happy Fryeday everyone. This is the BEST rye I have ever tasted....so far (still looking forward to @Klobberer 's Kentucky Owl #2 sample)

I might be able to get a #3 for $200, but I would have to drive for 8 hours round trip....Good to hear. This is the only bottle I own in this series
Yes it is. The port finish is unique, yet delish. How is this one and is it worth hunting down? I haven't seen it in NJ yet, but it's available not too far away in NY
Never seen or had this one yet, but i've bought the bourbon store pick for ~$45 (the store pick is probably non-cask and non-SB IIRC)
