Highly recommended, Matt. Try getting the ‘19 and earlier as they are much older than 18. They are (or will shortly be) really 18yo. Richer and darker than the 21, which some prefer, some do not... I like both with a slight edge towards the Allardice.

Should that be 2019 and later? Maybe I'm reading the that graph wrong, but it looks like they started the current batch in '95. First release was '13 (18 years), and the subsequent releases from that batch would all be older. So the release bottled in 2019 would actually be 24 years old? Just want to make sure I'm reading that correctly.

I may need to make a trip tonight lol.

And +1 on the Lasanta, I agree that's a really great bottle for the price.

You should look to 2019/20 bottling or earlier. Staring bottling in 2020/21 the Allardice will be back to being 18yo, with spirit made after the distillery was reactivated.

Ahhhh I see, gotcha. Thank you sir!

Btw, Matt, I have not tried the 'new' Allardice, with the actual 18yo whisky. It might be even better, I do not know. It is not likely as not only the older bottling is much older whisky but also, the distillery character has changed a bit (since Billy Walker left), moving for darker, heavy sherried to a little more balanced.

Comparing the older 15 vs the current 15, I much prefer the older, although the new is a lovely whisky as well.

But If you are looking for Parliament bottles you will be getting older bottles until 2023, in 2023 they will be back to 21 year

Anyone have an ETL to trade or sell? I got my brother one for Christmas a few years ago and he loved it. Now we can’t find another.

Is that elevator batch available?

someone in my bourbon group really wants it and is working on a trade. I’m in it for $900 but it’s sold for $1200 and it’s no where to be found.

I wouldn’t be able to trade it for an ETL

Was able to snag a bottle from 2019. Almost lost it, one guy let me check the bottle in the case, which was 2019, which I took up to the register. As I was checking out, another guy says hey let me get you the cover for that, but actually just swapped it for another who setup. I was like whoa hang in; checked the new bottle and it was late 2020. :ninja: Nope I want that other one I picked out before. He looks at the bottle, smirks and says ahhhh so you want the 22 year. Yessssir I do lol.

Man down. This one will be sorely missed as it’s not likely I’ll find a replacement.

Ledaig 13 yo full maturation in Port Casks. Absolutely fabulous dram. Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. So much sweet barbecue sauce with chocolate on the nose!

One of the beauties of whisky: some bottle when they’re gone, they are gone forever! There’s always a new one around the corner though...

I believe you sent me a sample of this. It was delicious

Good call @ChaosRock, the Allardice is fantastic! Some very subtle differences from the Parliament, I get more darker molasses, raisin and some leather in the 18 vs the stronger sherry and chocolate profile of the 21. Both are incredibly complex and interesting. I'll have to revisit again at some point but I would give the 21 a very slight edge for my palate.
