Been drinking a few different pours this week, but I frequently come back to this. For something that I can find at any liquor store around me, OF 1920 is amazing.

Finally picked up a bottle of that myself last night...but I'm going to have to wait to open it until I finish something else...way too many 1/4 to 1/3 full bottles in my cabinet right now!

Anyone tried the Calumet 14? I bought it without doing any research. $119.95
That's the going price, unless you find a Costco with them ( there are a few ), and then they are $99.

Worth it? The 65 user ratings at distiller.com say not really. Do report back, though.

Recently discovered Skrewball Whiskey. It’s peanut butter! It’s sweeter, like a dessert whiskey if there is such a thing. Get it as cold as possible and its actually good!

Weller Special Reserve, harder to find, buy one of my new favorites. Wheated Bourbon. It expensive at all!

I could probably not possibly be any later for this train, but I finally tried Skrewball this weekend and HOLY SHIT - this stuff if dangerously delicious. Just wow.

Same here. Let us know the verdict
Both are pretty solid for their price points ($40 and $78), medium-short finish but definitely interesting profiles - for sure going into the rotation. The 90 proof is a great base bourbon for starting the night or for someone who isn't into higher proofs, and the store pick is really interesting imo.
i'm terrible at describing tasting notes but i do get a heavy dose of cherry cola(?) on this one vs the medicinal cherry that i get (and appreciate) with the ECBPs.

I'd be interested to know what others think on these (@Saoliver) especially the cask strength/store picks - they're not readily available in NJ and i've only come across the store pick at one store so far in NY.

Woodinville makes some good whiskey. I knocked out 3 bottles of the 90 proof early on in Covid. Tasty stuff.

I haven’t tried any of the barrel picks or full proof. But I need to. I also need to schedule a distillery tour.

Got this from the wife for a bday gift

Are there any wide, high quality, double wall whiskey glasses out there? I've seen Norlan, they are awfully narrow, and quality seems spotty...

Found a few Lost Monarchs for friends. What I don't understand is why the LM are always gone from the stores but Pipe Dream is always available. We'll have a go head to head tonight. Cheers

I think pipe dream is a bourbon and emerald giant is a rye. Lost Monarch is. bourye so probably blend of the two
Yup, I think I still like the bourey better. More complex nose and longer finish than the Pipe Dream. Although the PD might be a neck pour. I'll try again in a week or two.
