Grabbed a new store pick to try, another back-up Russell’s store pick and a regular resident of my cabinet! This particular Russell’s store pick just might be my favorite bottle so far for this year!

Those are insane prices. I'd expect that in super high end places in major cities, but that's it. Otherwise that's just robbery. Give me a beer instead.

Congrats man! That is such a great find. I'm still waiting to find a non-107/SR. I want to find that FP most, then the 12 year. All the others I could do without

I’m below the label now and this bottle has really opened up. So much vanilla and burnt caramel. I’ve got another bottle, but I’ll save it. I want the shelf space to open something else.

I've seen people rave about the Peerless Rye. I can get it here but it's$103/btl. Worth it? Had it?

I had a 200ml and loved it. I’ve been resisting buying a 750ml for weeks... but I broke down today and picked one up. I’m weak.

Many here love it.

That’s just what it is. I paid $97, $125 with our stupid taxes. Like I said, I’m weak.

For me, the best value in rye is Pikesville. That’s my barometer. It doesn’t break the bank. I’ll even make an Old Fashioned with it. But I’m an idiot. I’ve made Old Fashioneds with Alberta Premium, and likely will with Peerless rye as well.

IMHO no. It's a good rye for $65 - $70 (before taxes). Not at $100+

First pours are a little hot. Aroma is off the charts awesome - I could keep my nose in this glass all day. Flavor is 100% Wild Turkey. I have a Russell's regular, and a Russell's Single Barrel, and I'll be able to give a more thorough opinion after my next drinking session where I compare and contrast the three.

Cigar Blend is 150 retail and very hard to find. Batch 41 there looks to be a regional batch only.

Adding to what I said previously, the Barrel strength is potent and will get you drunk quick. I only have anecdotal evidence of this, and just one data point, but it is all I can conclude for now.

In the early days of ECBP they were difficult to come by as well. Give it a couple of years.

Went to Fish Friday at Acme Smoked Fish in Greenpoint, Brooklyn to stock up on smoked salmon and herring. Poked my head into a liquor store and found a lonely 2019 MWND Act 7 for a few bucks over SRP. It isn’t lonely any more.

In other news, apparently I’m comfortable riding the subway again.

CYPB you have no desire for?

I will buy ANY Weller I find, at least once given their rarity and low prices...except the SR - I think I am done with that one. To be fair I have never tried the SB or the CYPB. I have just heard that they aren't that great in relation to the 12 and especially the FP.

I need it. I know they moved things over to Michigan, I wonder if that will make it any easier to find. I’m a fan of regular Magnus too, but I know cigar blend is next level.
