No bourbon finds today, unless you count some $25 bottles of O.G.D. 114, which I did not purchase. But it's summer, where lower proofs, cold, and sweet taste extra delicious, so I got a bottle of this and stuck it in my freezer. I'll let you know how it is.

Yeah. I just read up on it. I guess they don’t identify the barrels or give any age statement. But I know they are all good, where McKenna isn’t always great. Looking forward to trying this one in a couple of weeks.

Another bottle bites the dust, Whistlepig Piggyback tonight. Had one on the rocks than was reading about how this was "designed" for cocktails so I tried it with my Old Fashion recipe. Design accomplished It made for a very well balanced cocktail (nice substitute for my usual Bulleit 10), and makes for a decent sipper as well. Not big on the nose, very smooth for a rye with lots of cinnamon notes and a bit of vanilla. Thanks again for bringing this @Ben8257!

Decided to try the Woodinville, but I really want the barrel strength version. Also, all the A121 ECBP was all gone, but a C920 was kicking it in its place. I bet they restock with B521 now that it's empty

I need to look for the Woodinville barrel strength. If I find it, I’ll grab one for you too. Maybe I can just drive up there.

I still have like 5 of B520, 3 of C920 and 2 of A121 unopened. Plus, one of each opened. Maybe I’ll do a flight to compare the three.

I haven’t seen B521 here yet. Interested to see how the lower proof compares.

Yeah, I have 2 B520s, 4 C920s, and an A121. I'm not buying more until everyone FREAKS out over the latest greatest batch

Same here, the only B521s I've seen around here were $100, I'm waiting for my one local store that usually has them at better pricing to get them in (they are still stocking the A121....)

I've never had a bad McKenna...I've had great McKennas

Palate: Light caramel, WEAK, guess is 87 proof
Finish: NOPE
Bottle Guess: ??

Nose: light caramel, low proof, red fruit
Palate: same as A, guess 92 proof
Finish: short but present
Bottle Guess: ??

C:
Nose: NON-EXISTENT
Palate: SAME
FINISH: LOL
Bottle Guess: Jim Beam

D:
Nose: caramel, cherry, chocolate
Palate: same, slightly weak 90 proof?
Finish: short
Bottle Guess: Buffalo Trace
