I'm going to see a lot of Ohio boardgamers in November. I need to pay them a finders fee to stock up on Weller for me and my homies.

two pours in, and very good... happy with the purchase... over 130 proof with good heat, but I like that.

fruit and vanilla on the nose, and ethanol too (strong at first pour, especially if really sniffing)

berries, butcher scotch, cream and rye spice/pepper flavors that will linger from the heat.

empty glass smells straight caramel/toffee

But are you going to drive to Indiana to deliver? :D
Green Weller is not worth mailing to me. Red and the others? Definitely those.

I'll host next weekend if someone wants to deliver. I'm only 40 minutes north of the border

A lot going on in this 5 yr, certainly a unique rye. It seems there's multiple layers based on time. I'll be going to pick up another (just because) tomorrow... if they have any left.

This was smoother than the light, not as "hot" and less of a lingering spice despite the high proof. Still, just the right amount.

Quite a variety of smell on the nose, as well as with flavor profile and empty glass aroma.

Smelled mainly corn once poured in the glass, some menthol, some brown sugar. A lot less ethanol than the light whiskey.

Flavor changed with each sip it seemed. Berry, banana, vanilla, rye spice, black licorice just to name a few I thought I got.

Empty glass is caramel, leather, hay, syrup.

Very interesting, looking forward to the rest of the bottle.

First impression is I have this over the light whiskey (even though I'd certainly recommend both).

My lineup* for this Thursday. I haven’t had most of these. I’ll try them in order of increasing proof.

EH Taylor Single Barrel
Weller Full Proof
Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered
Lost Monarch
Larceny Barrel Proof
Old Ezra 7yr

*1oz pours

Please post detailed reviews of every single bottle!!!

Oh damn. So I did zero reading on this bottle before tasting it and was very surprised. Didn’t realize it was a bourbon/rye blend. I LOVE this pour. Thanks @Godzilla28 will enjoy this one

Yeah, at first I was a bit hesitant about a bourye blend from Kalifornia. But it's since become my daily drinker. OWA107 still my favorite bottle to grab but it's become so pricy and htf. Glad you enjoy it brother.

Same here for North Carolina

Just picked this up while in OBX seemed slightly overpriced to me but if you say there is no markup I’ll accept it. Only bought it because the 46 Cask Strength isn’t out yet in NYS, that I’m aware of. Always a fan of the wood finished stuff so why not.
