37 open. But I was experimenting. Like I have six makers open to compare (regular, 101, cask, 46, 46 cask, FAE01). I prefer to count that as one distiller open, not six bottles.
What was your findings on all of the Makers? I've only tried the regular. What was your ranking?

How hard is it for you to score blantons gold? Do you also have access to straight from the barrel blantons?
I haven't seen one bottle of SFTB, but I've found Gold relatively easy to score. Bourbon isn't really a "thing" over here yet; mainly because we've seen an absolutely huge gin boom over the past five years (heaven knows why, however, because that stuff tastes like shit).

It's just been a matter of building a good rapport with a few local bottle shops and waiting patiently until they get it in, then I buy my max allocation — and give money to my brother to do the same thing.

Funnily enough though, I was in a beautiful city-centre bottle shop a few days ago, and they had one bottle of Gold left at $205. He said the five previous ones were all sold to American tourists visiting Wales; they just take it back with them through customs.

If there was an absolutely huge demand for it and there was a booming bourbon scene where I live, I'd probably feel more guilty about my tactics, but...

^ Current collection. (Although I've already polished off one bottle of Gold.)

When traveling internationally is a thing I end up in Dublin a fair bit and American Whiskey can be really pricey over there. Lucky for me i prefer Irish.

Thought it was a fun watch @Dodger. The ending blew my mind a little.

A couple... Okay maybe a few.
Okay maybe a case... Okay maybe a few cases.

None are bad and I will eventually drink all of them. My drink a couple nights ago was regular Makers, some neat, some with ice. This is despite what I found, that MM101 beat both the regular MM and the MM Cask Strength I have from 2020. Now, I got a wrench thrown into this, because I went to a friend's house, and had some MM Cask Strength from 2015 and it was GREAT. I went to his source and got two 375mL (that was all it came in back in 2015) but have opened neither yet for taste comparing. So there's still a lot of drinking and comparing to do here.

The FAE01 destroys the 46 and 46 CS. I have three or four backup bottles of the FAE01 as a result. I've never tried store picks because they are always $60-70, and I scored all my FAE01 at $55. I forget how I compared 46 and 46 CS. But I've still got plenty of all of it and will revisit them all again, probably when the next wood finishing MM comes out, which should be any day.

To sum up, I like them all. I'm not sad that I own any of them. Unlike some swill I've tried, like 1792 Full Proof or Evan Williams BiB.

What does FAE stand for?
Wish I had picked one up now. I'll look for the new one when it comes out.

If I remember correctly it stands for fatty acid esters. It’s something that has to do with the nice viscosity or something. I need to look it up more.

Im already almost done with my bottle. Only have one back up. Need to start looking
Any chance you're heading to DE anytime soon? It's $72+tax at a local spot here, and i have to head there in the next week or so
