2nd neck pour of the day. Hmmmmmm, this is really interesting. Get a little oak and rye on the nose, palate is really fruity, then the long finish slaps your face with an explosion of rye flavor. This is really unique.

Not a bad little sipper.
It's been an all-scotch weekend, mostly Balvenie and Glemorangie on Friday/Saturday, but after killing those bottles it was time to try something new (for me). Clynelish 14.
Very light orange peel / citrus on the nose. Citrus leads on the palatte but dries out very quickly, peppery brine notes come to play, with just a very slight hint of peat. Peppery/spicy but super smooth! Finishes with the brine kicking up a notch and a slighlty bitter tone (lemon?) coming up as it fades. Really interesting dram and very tasty, especially for the price

Yeah, that was on the short list for #3, but by that time our food had arrived, and I'd rather the whiskey be center stage than to drink it while eating.

This is one of my favorites. Honestly I could drink this everyday
Snap buy at $35, $40 max for me. At $50 I'd likely pass, there are better offerings in that range.

I’d send you a sample, but someone has not returned my bottles.
This one has opened up a bit, but I don’t think it’s worth the premium over the small batch. Maybe it’s just my bottle. It’s pretty good, but not worth the price difference.
I don’t have the store pick but I like the standard. I also have this which I havent cracked yet

Ouch bro! That is one of the reasons you need to relocate your family to Oregon. Mine was $49.95 out the door. (plus we could hang out, play poker, drink whiskey and all, just sayin....)
