Needed another opened bottle in the rotation...

@Saoliver , you picked up a Kentucky Owl Confiscated, correct? How long has it been open? Thoughts?

Anyone else drinking this bourbon? Thoughts?

I am having a pour from a bottle that has now been open for a few months (at least) and is really not bad. The big complaint is the price with ALL KO products. From what I hear, this is the worst bourbon they have....but it's pretty damn good imo. After all, I dropped $300 3x on their #4 Last Rye (which rules my face). Really want to try their other bourbons

Nope. Passed on it.

Port down! Chardonnay up next. Cab Sauv after that. Also have 3 more ports in backstock....pretty sure it is the best one. Time will tell

What's the Rare Breed Rye like? I'm just coming to the end of my regular Rare Breed and would be interested in the Rye next.
It’s HOT. At first, for about a second or two. Then that sensation dissipates and powerful good flavors attack your tongue and throat. It’s an experience. I love the stuff. Ice mitigates these things somewhat if you prefer.

This is the first Sagamore I’ve seen around here… or the first I’ve noticed.

Nice! The only double oaked rye I’ve had so far is the Knob Creek Twice Barreled. It could easily be mistaken for a high rye bourbon. If your Sagamore bottle is anything like my store pick, you’ll have no doubt that it’s a rye! Now I need to hunt that one down lol

That is the one the Bourbon Junkies love. I haven't been able to find it. Nice score!
I’ve heard them talk about the cast strength but not the double oak. Do you have a link to it, I’d love to watch that one

Not hunting much recently. Did make a couple stops today. I could have had a case of EC BP 521 @ $75 per bottle all in. Not in the mood for buying that today. Was hoping to see a Dickel 15 or a Remus Repeal V, but those aren't around here yet. I saw an unopened case of Booker's, so that was probably the 2021-02, which gets not great reviews. Also saw a Copper Tongue lol, which gets terrible reviews.

Finally got an invitation to "The Vault," which is how my local liquor chain distributes the high-demand bottles in my area.

They send an email out to invitees, and you get to purchase one bottle of whatever is still available until they run out. The email went out at 1:00 this afternoon, and I just saw it, so by the time I got there, many of the less expensive choices (Blanton's, Weller Antique, etc.) were gone.

Still, I managed to pick up my first bottle of Eagle Rare, which is simply non-existent around here, for $33. So I'm calling it a win.
