Found these 2 on my after work whiskey hunt. Should be interesting.

Is that CYPB a decent price?

Whoa where did you find the port finish???!

I went to my local Bevmo near work and they said they only got 1 bottle. On my way home, I decided to try my luck and stopped by another Bevmo...lucky me, the mgr had some in the backroom.

Finally, part 3 of bottles I need to open and try. Nothing special here.

Everything minus the Sagamore Rye is on my list to try one day. I've had the barrel proof E.H. Taylor thanks to @Saoliver It was AMAZING!!!!! The only reason the SR isn't on my to try list is that I don't know anything about it lol

It’s a Maryland thing. It’s Kevin Plank’s brain child (under armour founder)

I would be buying.

I haven't seeing one of those up for gabs in quite some time, man... If I see any data point to help you out I'll let you know... My guesstimate, that could be totally off would be $250ish. Although if we compare with the Blood Oath series, the first edition is going for way more than that...

Darn competition

I would buy at that price. I don’t have any sense of how secondary works but I know I bought 2’s from stores for I think $180-$200ish about a year ago. Maybe a little more but at the time I was okay with the price.

Thanks Paulo. The offer is $225, so doesn’t sound like it’s out of line.

It's a banger, for sure! In fact, it's really hard to fault any of the Laphroaig range at the moment.

I've had a few of their bottles. I really enjoyed every single one of them. I have one more pour of the quarter cask :( I also really enjoyed the barrel proof Laphroaig!

Secondary seems to be going crazy. I like looking back at the first pages of this thread. Talking about getting ETL for under $40. Flash forward 5 years and people are getting $300 for it.

I'm really not sure which distillery this comes from, but for a budget supermarket's own range, Aldi really can't be beat. They generally release a 12 and 18-year-old expression every year just for Christmas and, for £20, the former has been getting rave reviews.

This is actually my first foray into Speyside; while I'm not in love, the fruitiness does make a nice change to the peatiness of my favoured Islay.

How does the Quarter Cask compare to the 10, would you say? Is there a standout winner?

I prefer the quarter cask. I think it was only an extra 20 bucks. I thought the flavor profile was more complex. The finish is amazing. You have to enjoy feeling of drinking a campfire. I know it sounds bad, but it isn't. Its awesome!
