Sonofabitch, I think that's the one saw the other day. I thought I was done shopping for Christmas, lol. IIRC it was like $90 (14 year instead of 7 year). Worth it?
This is a 7 year. Just pleasantly surprised!

That said, if you go back for the 14 year, get 2! I'm in!!
Here it was (lol we're all f*ck'n degens, this was less than a week ago and already like 10 pages back), it was a store pick / 13 year for $93. Maybe I'll stop on the way home tomorrow and see if they have any left.
If you really want it maybe. But I'd pass personallyWould you guys pick up a bottle of Elmer T. Lee for $150? Really hate paying much over retail for anything.

Couldn't agree more. Both this and Stellum rye will blow you away.

Arguably the best ryes I've ever had, neck and neck with Alberta.
What we're mentioning are Barrell products. Stellum rye is 45-55. The barrell rye posted by big jilm is around 80 I think.
New riff is a different distillery. The ones I grabbed the other day we're 50.
Stellum is made by Barrell ….Couldn't agree more. Both this and Stellum rye will blow you away.

I have all of these bottles. The Knob Creek is my favorite. Of all of the New Riff's, the Single Barrel Rye is my favorite... though single barrels can vary. I would get the regular New Riff bourbon over the single barrel. If you love that one, maybe get the single barrel bourbon later. They have "New Riff" for 40 bucks at a local "Total Wine" store. I think I'll swing by after work and grab a bottle!

New Riff Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey

Is there a big difference in the New Riff bottles? If I only get one of them, which one should I get?
I could probably stretch things out and pick up two bottles. I need to keep in in the 100-120 range for my impulse purchase lol.
have all of these bottles
New Riff is not anywhere around me, but I had a Flaviar membership for a bit. I ordered the bourbon and the single barrel bourbon. They mistakenly sent me single barrel rye (which ended up being my favorite). I had a choice to keep it at a discount, and then they sent me the single barrel bourbon.Of course you do lol.
If you get a good one, agreed with @Saoliver that the Knob Creek 120 will be the best of that bunch. But for my money/value I'd grab the 1792 FP all day, but I'm admittedly a big 1792 fan.
I somehow missed the earlier post about the store pick Barrel Rye but fwiw, I had a 13 yr store pick of it that was selected for NC ABC and it was fantastic. I believe it was $99.95 and worth every penny! Here it was (lol we're all f*ck'n degens, this was less than a week ago and already like 10 pages back), it was a store pick / 13 year for $93. Nice! I used to see the Rare Breed Rye only "rarely". Then my Costco started getting pallets of the stuff.Did a little hunting while on vacation in Florida! One to get me thru the rest of the week and 2 to bring home.View attachment 833722

Let me know when you see Weller Special Reserve for $299. I go into that store about once a month just to laugh at the owner.I’ll also add that I’ve seen quite a few “grail” bottles at a few stores, but the secondary prices that were being asked was absolutely ridiculous smh
