Forgot to mention, I got offered a discount on a Chicken Cock Canadian Rye 20yr today ($499 msrp). My poor store owner bought a whole case and has sold one in a week (which surprised me that he even sold that many). Already he knows that *extremely* light colored juice is an overpriced turkey.

That New Riff 6 year old Malted Rye is fanfreakingtastic! I only got a sample, but it absolutely deserves to be on the list.
The 10 year Rye > 10 yr Bourbon. Unfortunately have had nearly every Michters cork crumble on me when opening a new bottle…

Variety is a good thing. My recall is that they are about equal. Then 16, then 15.
Good point. Definitely keep one stagg 14 so you can run it blind against the other staggs sometimes. It’s more fun to try them all in flights

For some reason my 14 has this artificial cherry chapstick taste that is all consuming and I don’t enjoy that note

Sad it’s such a big problem here in NYC, have to trust the retailer. Acker is a bit notorious for this unfortunately.

Indeed this is fun, and probably one of my favorite ways to drink bourbon. I have a bajillion Makers releases that are fun to compare, and not expensive to boot. I've got too many ECBP open as well. I'd do the same with Larceny BP, but those are a bugger to find around me. Haven't even had a sniff at a 921.

ETL at 40 and Blanton at 60 I would not call overpriced. OverHYPED is the descriptor I would use.
Sure. But 99% cannot get them at those prices. I've had bottles of Blanton's that were so good, I'd easily pay $100 or more. I've also had bottles of Blanton's that I mixed with Coke just to get through them.
So, overhyped and scarce are probably better descriptions. Blanton's use to always be on the shelf for $60 around me. I'm sure many can say that about all the BT products.
