Glencairns are alright. I do own some. I find them awkward, shoving them under my nose and all. I like having my nose in the glass as part of the tasting experience. If you like them, however, this is about the best deal going. There's nothing like the Costco buyer calling you up and saying he/she wants to sell 100,000s of your stuff, but only in a set of six at $5/glass.
 
Oh man, I took a sip of my whiskey, (which I thought was EH Taylor small batch) - then to my shock it was a delicious proofy cinnamon blast (woah!). Forgot my butt poured purple top Old Kirk. Mmmmmm sooooo good. Hopefully I can track down a Hirsch soon so I can compare. :ninja:

Having a pour of the Hirsch before I go dry for the week. Just ate something really spicy so it’s crazy hot on the palate but damn it taste sooo good. I’m still looking for those dirt notes but can’t find it.
 
I've got a hot date with Bardstown Disco 2 tonight. I'd say it's going well. It definitely belongs on the secret shelf. It will be sad when the bottle is empty. The good news is the cork is so heavy I'll have a home defense weapon when I'm done.
 
Okay so I found it ironic last night that of the 60+ bottles I have opened

At the top is Hirsch 6yr
I never imagined it would be as good as it is. I hope the other barrell I have is just as good

At the bottom Hirsch Horizon.
I never imagined it would be as bad as it is. On the nose and palate I get a sour note. Note a good sour but like vomit sour.
 
Sooooooooo, I have a double cash rewards credit card. 1% on purchases and then 1% on payments. I hadn't checked the rewards in a while. Like, a lonnnnnggggg while. I discovered I have $1,050 in basically cash just waiting for me to use up.

So I propose it to you in this forum my friends, I need to plan for a fun bottle of whiskey to spend *some* of it on. Any thoughts?

Blue Note 17, I'm all about it...I guess! Have I tried it? No. Am I buying one? Yes.

If Old Carter is not available in your area, I would do that!!

OR, eff it, go big and buy a secondary Cigar Blend.

If that all sucks, then I recommend you ask Matt at ADHD Whiskey.
